I hope you are correct and payments were not stopped because of the stupid "I AM NOT DEAD FORM!" was late because of the delays with mail.

It's September 2 in the U.S. (right now).

A bit early to hit the panic button?

I, too, have my SocSec direct-deposited to an account in the U.S.

I honestly do not know what time it gets credited.

yes millions

What a paranoid lot you all are.   Didn't we just do this in June ?

And .... OMG  ... it showed up, on what, the 5th.   You got a couple more days to worry about something that wouldn't happen until February any way.   That after your Oct notice stating, not received 7162 yet, still alive ?

My SS DD never comes before 3 AM anyway 🙄

If might be your bank and not SSA. My SSA applicationf for retirement was approved in early August 2025. This was after a 7 month horror show from FBU Manila:

1. I have a US bank account and all my deposits are posted there.

2. I recieved my first SSA payment with back pay on August 12.

3. I was told that my SSA pay date will also be the 3rd of the month.

I thought great I will get my first actual month pay about now. I actually got a SSA direct deposit posted to my USAA FSB account on Saturday monring Thailand time(of couirse this wouild be Friday night US time).  For the last year USAA FSB has been posting all government payments (Federal, State and local) 1 to 2 days early. This is becasue for years USAA was holding account holders money until the very last possible day and in some cases hours. This lead to a lot of complaing including myself.  Now with USAA I recieve all government payments 1 to 2 days early. I actually got ny Federal Tax refund posted to my account on a Friday afternoon California time.

Let's be honest, all banks are rotten to some extent and do not change until they hear from account holders.  This lead to USAA changing it's ways.  This is in no way means USAA FSB is a good bank but I have been with them for 37 years and will be with them unitl one us dies.

Mine has arrived, @ 11:11.   Also means I need to go and make a withdraw, as account now 300k+, and will require a FBAR filing if left in, and Oct's DD is added to it.

HAPPY SPENDING

Ditto - Labor Day slows the process down. By the way, I've received mine as early as the 1st and as late as the 7th.

Thanks for the info.

I have my SSA benefit deposited to an account in the U.S.

IME, a holiday or weekend does NOT slow down the process. If anything it speeds it up as we potentially get the benefit early, on the first or second, If the third is a Sat, Sun or Holiday.

That said, my benefit rarely appears before Noon on the third (ET), and may sit for a while as pending or processing. I do not follow the timing much, no reason to. But this time I'll try to check.

I have no experience with the direct deposit process for payments directly to Thai banks.

This may be the OP's first payment so that may be why they're concerned?

My Sep SSA payment was credited to my account in the U.S. sometime over the last ~ 12 hours.

Isn't the rule of thumb it's the second Wednesday of the month?

I believe it depends on what day of the month your birthday falls on.

Didn't realize that, good to know

I think it goes something like this. If you birthday falls on the 1st you should get paid first. If your birthday falls on the 29th you would probably get paid last. I believe SSA has 3 or more pay dates per month. My B-Day falls within the first week of the month and last month I got my first SSA retirment check on the 4th of the month. At least this what I beleive to be true.  Others might have more information.

It depends on what year you were born, what day of the month born on,  and whether you have a US or overseas address on-file with the SSA.  Below google AI sums it up well, but you can verify the info on the SSA.gov website.   If you have an overseas address on file with the SSA (like Thailand) you will receive payment on the 3rd of the month.
