Looks like he hasn't got a clue what a biopsy is and the process behind it.

I've used her for years and concur that she's top notch. She's treated me three times for basal cell carcinoma. She does however get on in age and when I last saw her a couple of years ago she was down to working once a week.

The biopsy had to be done twice, if you have never been there you don't know what you are talking about, as usual

Yes OK, how much would you think this check up cost at a government hospital i am getting on Tuesday. Some people used to the costs in the USA think they are doing well paying over the odds here, not if you are used to free health care all your life

Americans do not find it surprising  if a biopsy costs a million or two.

Europeans have very different ideas about prices for healthcare, they don't find it surprising if a biopsy costs 1400 B, including a bag of pills.

But almost everyone knows the difference between a biopsy and a general medical check-up.

What are the symptoms of suspected skin cancer in the first place, if I may ask please ?

A pimple or an inflammation that doesn't disappear over several months,  actually getting bigger

I had a small suspected Actinic Keratosis or Superficial Basal Cell Carcinoma on my temple, was changing shape slowly over time, anyway Aldara 5% for two weeks killed it off, 250 baht

I had a lump on my ear which I intially thought was an insect bite. It wouldn't heal and kept getting bigger. I saw a dermatologist at Bang Saen and she referred me to the plastic surgeon. He took one  look and said it was cancer, just a case of what type.

I saw the plastic surgeon in the morning and he cut it away in the afternoon, morning consultation cost 100 baht and the operation 13K including medication. The lab results showed it to be BCC.

That was about 2 years ago, I had 3 initial aftercare visits and another 5 consultations since, each one costing 100 baht. Now on annual with next one due next month.
