The couple, who rented the craft from Tawaen Beach on 9 September, failed to return it by the agreed time. Rescue teams launched a large-scale search and discovered the man alive in the early hours of 10 September, while his wife was later found dead.

Father and Son Killed by Fallen High-Voltage Cable in Tak

A father and his young son were killed instantly when a high-voltage power line snapped and fell onto them as they rode home on a motorcycle in Tak province late on 9 September. The victims, a 36-year-old man and his seven-year-old son, were electrocuted and burned to death at the scene. Emergency responders found them still on the motorcycle, the child clutching his father’s back.

Man Kills Friend With Wooden Stick After Drunken Argument in Nan

Police in Nan province are investigating a fatal assault that left one man dead and another seriously injured following a drinking session that turned violent.
