So RFK Jr isn't that crazy after all ?? Maybe french fries in bear fat is not such a bad idea?

Beef tallow is a better choice. Bear fat's consistency lends it to making good pastry.

THE SEVEN SEAS….

In the Middle Ages, there were seven known seas:

The Red Sea

The Mediterranean

The Persian Gulf

The Black Sea

The Adriatic Sea

The Caspian Sea

The Indian Ocean.

Sailors and pirates boasted of having sailed the seven seas. Once you had sailed the seven seas, you had seen the world....

I've seen a few seas and oceans:

The Pacific in Vancouver. Its famous Wreck Beach.

The Pacific in California, from Los Angeles to San Francisco.

The Pacific and the Atlantic in Costa Rica.

The Pacific in Acapulco Bay.

The Atlantic in New Scotland and Louisbourg. Swimming in the Myra River, where the Atlantic mixes with the freshwater of the river to create this brackish water, half salty, half fresh. The Atlantic in Florida. Hollywood and Miami.

The Atlantic in Wildwood, New Jersey. (Don't go there.)

The Gulf of Mexico in Cancun. And along the coast to the archaeological site of Tulum.

The Caribbean Sea in Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Cuba.

Jamaica, from Negril, where the sea is so beautiful, to Spanish Town near Kingston, then due west across the Blue Mountains, to Ocho Rios and then Montego Bay.

The Lesser Antilles in Venezuela, Margarita Island. A tour of the island by car, to confirm its lack of charm.

The Caribbean Sea in Cartagena, Colombia.

The Atlantic in Dieppe, France.

The Mediterranean in France, and the Côte d'Azur, from St. Tropez to Menton.

The Adriatic Sea in Italy, from the central part to Venice.

By car from Lyon, and crossing the Alps, crossing Italy, passing Milan, and reaching Venice, this city floating on the shores of the Adriatic.

Excursion to the islands of this sea, Burano, Murano (magnificent handmade glass), and Torcello.

The Adriatic Sea in the former Yugoslavia, from north to south. The island of Hvar near Split and also Dubrovnik.

The Adriatic Sea in Greece, in Patras.

Thessaloniki and Mount Olympus. Unfortunately, Zeus and Hydra weren't there during my visit. Not even Thor or Hercules.

The center of the world, Delphi (proven by mythology, hehehe), and the Corinth Canal, which connects the Ionian and Aegean Seas.

Delphi was the center of the world (omphalos) in the eyes of the ancient Greeks: according to myth, it was the meeting point of two eagles released by Zeus, one to the East and the other to the West. On the road between Athens and Delphi, we are told that when Oedipus arrived on this road, the Sphinx asked him: "What being, endowed with a single voice, has first four legs in the morning, then two legs at noon, and three legs in the evening?" Oedipus found the answer: it was man.

Crete on many occasions, especially Plakias, within walking distance of the beautiful beaches of Ammoudi, Damnoni, and Ammoudaki. As well as Micro Ammoudi, a small beach better known as Einstein, because there is a rock in the sea, about 5 meters from the beach. And in German, the word Einstein means Ein: one, and Stein: means rock, a stone.

And from there, you can rent a motorbike to go to the other end of the island, to Lendas Beach, and rent a room there for a week.

Islands near Piraeus, mini-cruises to Aegina, Poros, and Hydra.

The Aegean Sea in Turkey, from Marmaris to Fetiye.

The Philippine Sea and the South China Sea, in the Philippines. Manila, Tacloban, Ormoc, and Cebu.

The Andaman Sea and the China Sea in Thailand. Phuket Island, Koh Samui Island, Koh Phi Phi Island, Krabi, Phang Na, James Bond Island.

And a visit to Cambodia for about ten days, to visit Angkor Wat, the Khmer city, the vanished city, invaded by time.

In Germany, several stays in Berlin and Düsseldorf.

In France, Paris, Versailles, the Loire Valley and its castles, Chenonceaux, Chambord. Normandy, Dieppe, Omaha Beach, the D-Day landing beaches.... In Dieppe, where I couldn't find a parking space, a parking attendant simply told me: Write on a piece of paper, "Canadian visiting," and put it on the dashboard, and no one will issue a parking ticket. Indeed, it was magical.

his parking attendant told me the story of the Dieppe landings. He told me that in 1945, towards the end of the war, the townspeople were told to go to a shelter, because the Americans were going to come and bomb and destroy all the bridges, to prevent the enemy from reaching the town. On that day, the townspeople saw several American bombers fly over Dieppe and drop several bombs, which demolished the town, without hitting any bridges....

Days later, a similar message came, to go to a shelter, because the Americans were going to return to try to demolish the bridges once again.

And there, they saw only a few bombers, and with surgical precision, all the bridges were destroyed, one by one.

Then they understood that the Americans had come to bomb the first time, to destroy the town, so that they could benefit from its reconstruction after the war, which was imminently over. And they remember. And that's why if an American visits, they'll happily leave parking tickets. A Canadian, oh no. A small note left on the dashboard, identifying the driver's nationality, will do the trick.

And I've dined in Amsterdam, London, Venice, Rome, Naples, Florence, and under the Eiffel Tower.

And I've even seen Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto, and Niagara Falls. Okay!

And now, today, it seems like I haven't seen anything yet.

Time has done its work. A sedentary lifestyle has set in. Only Thailand, and then back home for the summer.

Snowbirds go to Florida, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Costa Rica. Mainly to escape the snow, I think.

Last summer, my son asked me where I'd traveled over the years. I mentioned a few places. I realized it wasn't easy to answer. So I wrote this...

But then, in retrospective, nothing was really that big a deal...

Hunting, legal, is rarely done when a species is endangered unless it will somehow enhance the total species existence, as some can be hunted using a sportsman's dollars ( very expensive) to help with the remaining species propagation, and, or for research about that species. Hunting keeps the other species within the carrying capacity of the land they inhabit, which helps the remaining animals.

Three holes and short-times. Not for everyone, of course.

Sailed across the Atlantic ( not single handed - as "mate" on a 66' sail training yacht).

Managed to find America - which let's face it is more than Christopher Columbus did!

I like it when Harris posts a new topic and he gets no replys. He doesn't realise were laughing at him not his threads. Then when you have a go he gets that wound up he ends up getting a ban lol.

I like it when people respond to threads and claim the thread has no responses.

I wonder if they realize everyone is laughing at them lol.

I think Nautilus was using a bit of sarcasm in his reply.

I thought it was quite funny, just one sentence after your tome.
