Another 90 day mess up.

Featured Replies

I'm on a 'Retirement Visa' from Soi 5 Jomtien with a multi re-entry permit.  I returned from holiday on July 18th.  A couple of days later I received a 90 Day reminder email.  Maybe I was jet-lagged, but I responded on-line. After an initial success response, I got a turned down signal.  Obviously my return to Thailand signalled the start of another 90 day period.

Can I still try to do my report on line?  If so, what is the earliest date I can attempt this?

If not what docs do I need to take for a personal visit?  Does every holiday necessitate a personal visit 90 days after return?

Please be gentle with me, I'm pushing 83 and suspect the onset of old age mental failure.

You have to do it in person after returning from abroad....did mine last week.

I took

Passport

Copy of every page of my passport with anything vaguely Thai on it

Previous 90 day slip

The application form (filled in blue ink!!!)

Latest TM30

TM6

I think that's everything......although you have to do it in person...it doesn't have to you???......My wife did mine.

You will have to go in person. Sadly each time you leave it resets the clock and Thai Immigration cant keep up with it. 89 days from July 18 seems to be Oct 15, 2025 when you would have to report.

I just had to do it returning from my daughters wedding. The documents are passport, The TM 47 form, last online 90 day report and just to be sure an up to date TM 30 print out of where  you stay. I still had the Thai TDAC in my phone but they did not want that at CW.

You can get your Thai wife to do it.....don't get married just so you don't have to go !!!!

There is a letter you can sign and give to her, giving her permission......bit like a temporary power of attorney I guess.

That depends on the office.  For Chaengwattana they accept mail in reports as being "in person".  (Did it myself a few weeks ago after returning to the country.  Did take over a month to get confirmation of acceptance, though.)

OP, Your starting date is July 18, 2025 so that means that 89 days later would be October 15, 2025.

That is your due date.

Your report window opens 15 days prior for report via mail

OR report in person (or agent) up till Oct 15. (avoid grace period)

This part has nothing to do with your return.  You were originally scheduled to do a 90-day report a few days after your return, but you leaving the country reset the clock.  The reminder email could have been safely ignored.

Your next due date will be 90 days after your return, probably in person depending on office.  First report after return in person, then you can use the online system.

DrJacks gave you the date you file.

You can certainly try online.  There are a few scattered reports of people being successful when they should not have been due to the new rule of going in person for first report.

If you do want to try online, you should try right as the window opens so you have time to receive a rejection and then go in person afterwards.  Or file by mail if your office allows it will count as in-person.

Good advice, thank you.

Here is a link to the   TM_47 application form that they use at Jomtien.

you can print it on a single sided A4  sheet and fill it in at home.
