You are just parrotting verses of the leftist Bible.

And you're parroting the views of the extreme right.  We'll just have to agree to disagree, which is the British way. 🇬🇧

The problem arose when the patriots were in Trafalgar square, and a load of pro Hamas Palestinian flag waving terrorist supporters tried to attack the peaceful rally.

This is YOUR post.

It would appear that you don’t understand what assimilate means - forgetting your original culture nd adopting your new one. This means an immigrant will lose their cultural identity. It also appears that you think UK culture is superior to the immigrant’s.

Have you assimilated into Thai culture, or even integrated? Most Brits I know, even if they’ve lived here for 10 years, are not fluent in the language, are you?

You mention pockets of people who don’t mix,  this is the result of structural segregation, not multicultural policy. Things as housing inequality, underfunded schools, discrimination in the job market.

It is not necessary to forget one's own culture to assimilate into a new one,but it is necessary to learn a little bit about the new culture in order to establish what is and is not acceptable in ones new home, and to take this on board if one wishes to have a chance of being accepted.   In fact swearing an oath to that effect was part or the immigration process at one time if I remember correctly. Its also necessary to accept that certain activities that were once common "back home " are actually illegal in the UK

Whilst its not essential to become fluent in a language to assimilate, obviously it helps, I can't say I have noticed that British are any worse at speaking Thai than any other nationality, and its hardly the fault of expats here that english is spoken here, to one degree or another by many Thais and certainly more widely than any other european  language

Yes UK culture,, and society in general, whilst not perfect, is indeed much  better than that in the countries these immigrants are fleeing from, why else would they be arriving in such numbers

They don't mix because they are muslim and their fundamental ideology regarding non muslims makes it "problematic" for them, basically they are supposed to detest us,  its nothing to do with segregation, nobody forces them to live together in filthy ghettos like Bradford, Blackburn Luton etc that's their choice and lets not forget some of these are not actual immigrants but from families that have been here for several generations

Poor housing and underfunded schools are a problem for all in the UK. things are obviously going to be worse in deprived areas but the same problems are endured by many british nationals too  As for jobs, well current employment law makes it very difficult to describe any foreigner as disadvantaged in that respect  these days.

Palastine Action Match in london last week. Estimated at 1500 arrests 850 this is regarded as a terror group that should not even be allowed to walk the streets. What next Hamas in there fatigues marching down Whitehall with them.

Learning the language of your adopted country is important but not as much as respecting cultural behaviour. I've met quite a few Brits and others who speak Thai well but do not respect Thai culture at all.

Many of the immigrants in the UK (and their children) speak quite good English but they have also retained their own "cultures",  or even adopted radicalized versions of them, so much so that true assimilation is never achieved. A big problem now. That is what these protests are about.

And its going to be a huge problem in the future if its not sorted immediately

I can't either. With this recent rapid rate of immigration, the English language itself has also been damaged.

To say that Britain is stronger with this imagined version of "diversity" is just blinkered ignorance.

Does that sound better?

Looks like your post it not being well received.

Not surprising as it is moronic.

All those "Brits" you criticise for not learning Thai have moved to Thailand and accepted the Thai laws and culture; they have no choice.

Thailand's immigration policy is as hard as any country - I would be happy for the UK to copy most of it.

Really?  You'd be happy for Thailand to adopt the UK policy of requiring all foreign spouses to pass 3 different language tests and a culture test, and for only the Thai partner's income to be taken into account to meet the financial requirements?

I said "most of it" you fool, surely you can comprehend that. no?

That is the problem with you woke people, you change the narrative to fit your own agenda.

I said NOTHING about changing Thailand's immigration policy.

So you'd like the UK to copy Thailand and make it easier for immigration? Ok then, but it kind of defeats your anti-immigrant mindset.

The government needs to take a lesson from Thailand, who would never allow refugees or illegal immigrant to live in hotels paid for by Thai tax payers.

If the uk had done that to the first few boats, the situation would never have become the disaster that it is.   Less lives would have been lost too

I agree with much of what you say. I didn’t realize posters here are so vehemently opposed to Muslims. There are loads of other religions amongst immigrants.

Me thinks you are yet another lefty starting a new account and stirring up things - right??

The world has become a strange divisive place when anyone who disagrees with a far-right person is branded a crazy lefty. FYI, I vote Reform and support Trump, well in most of his policies. Don’t be so divisive.
