That was my plan when I win! Set up a production company in Prague or Hungary, but with test drive privileges. And I'm 54 and fit!

The problem for thus of us at 50 would probably be you'd have a Charlie Sheen trajectory. The body is not designed for non-stop pleasure, and if you pursue it at all costs, like Sheen did, you'll ruin your body and your relationships.

It has a nice ring to it

January of this year I had a very serious road accident - multiple injuries. After nearly 6 months in hospital and 3 serious conversations with my consultant about amputating my right leg (it was saved) I am currently out of hospital and learning to walk again. To the OP I am a 10. When you come so close to dying you realise just how valuable life is. I have an amazing Thai wife whose care throughout was nothing short of amazing. She was with me the whole way. I am extremely happy to still be alive I have nothing to be unhappy about. I have been given a second chance at life and I’m embracing it wholeheartedly. For me it’s a new start and I am absolutely determined to be as healthy and well as I can be. I am a 10.

I had a med oops myself, 3 yrs back, and gave me a scare.   Nothing compared to yours, thankfully.

Called my daughter, tell her again how much I love her, and how proud I was of her.   She's like ... "OK, what's up with that" :cheesy:

"What, I can call and tell you that, and wish you 'have a good day' "    Hey, you never know, doc might have a bad day, a twitch and kill me.

Turned out to be a minor issue, quick fix, all of an 11 minute procedure, 🙄 stents placed.   But does point out ... the clock is ticking.  Along with quick assessment ... what a life, yea, a solid 9.  So better take better care, and went Keto ish, as really the only thing that I think needed changing, and feel much better for it.

Not that really needed, blood work #s are a lot better, but may help stretch another year or 3 out from the expiration date.

For me two months ago I thought I was reasonably happy and would have given it a 8.

Wow!! How things have changed, met a really lovely girl from Laos (there will be many on here who will poo poo this). First time I have actually dated a SE lady, for about two weeks no sleeping together. She has recently moved in with me, cleans the house every day, cooks, will not allow me to do anything around the house (washing/up, making bed etc. Now I will give it a 10. I am 72 and the lady is 53.

Some  women switch off their libido at age 50. Others stay horny in their 60's.

Sounds like you have a keeper, enjoy.

Thank you. Yes. Definitely a keeper

I guess it depends on how one interprets the question. I enjoy being alive simply because the alternative is nothing to get excited about. Of course, I am a Christian, so I look forward to being with MY HEAVENLY FATHER when this "earth suit" goes back to the dust, but I'm in no hurry to get there! If you ask me, "are you thrilled to get up every day and experience over and over the same routine as the day before", then I have to give that a pretty low score. I have seen, done and heard all that I desire during my younger days, and as I have aged, life has become more about drudgery than excitement. Of course, it's up to me whether I want to add more "spice" to life, but I am now limited by certain health issues and low motivation. I prefer to sit in my comfy recliner and pass the time of day on my computer, so I am content, but not overly thrilled with life.

5/10.  I am 85 and was enjoying life until I had back surgery, which seemed like necessary. Maybe it was and maybe it wasn't! A relatively simple procedure but it did not cure the pain and now use meds which are effective. I do not fear death but still want to live a bit more.

Only problem now is mobility and want to get back on my feet and walk around without a walker/zimmer frame. It has only been 2 weeks since the procedure but I want to get out and about, so practice walking every day.

Yes, 8 or 9. Retired, currently no heath issues (at 78 aches and pains excepted), income sustainable (open to your being able that you made a guy a millionaire as a result of your substantial donation .... say 400K usd). Goeed family like what's not to enjoy remaining in Thailand?

Having just spent 5 weeks in London, I'm very happy to live here. Definitely a 9.

I reckon I had the best time of my life was in my 60's and 70's during which I would rated my happiness  at around 7/8. Now well into my 80's and having less energy and a few more aches and pains, and more aware of my mortality, I would say I am still mostly happy but with a slightly reduced rate of around 6/7.

I think everyone's lives have improved since you've calmed down here and do not appear to be posting excessively any more. 🙂

Being well into your 80's you should be happier than 6/7.

I am almost 70 and would score 9/10 - solely because nothing is perfect - a score that I have enjoyed since coming here almost 20 years ago.

Knocking on 71 myself, and a solid 9.   Definitely up from a 7/8 before retiring to TH.

That 2 day a week work schedule, knocks off a point or 2.  Depending on the 'time' of any relationship, start of, at a 10, end of, back to a 10, but average in the speed bumps, and 7/8 :coffee1:

First time raising a wee one, here in TH, that's 10 all around, but the 9 month school schedule, knocked a point off.

No more school schedule, back to a 10, but living in different provinces, back to that damn 9.    Don't know how much longer my dog has, showing her age,, fast lately, and that's going knock another off, as no therapist.   But, no longer restricted to pet friendly accommodations, so back up, a bit, maybe.

Nah, nothing will replace her, part of why it's a 9 now.
