Guilty as charged.

I am a toxic foreigner you should avoid.

Bingo.

Avoid hugely boring expats who whinge about other expats, in person as well as on forum boards.

This seems more like jealousy than anything else.

You should be thankful; they're subsidising your night out.

Looks like the squatters.... oops, sorry. Looks like "the family" have a nice two-storey annex where your villa pool was gonna be.

Happens...

What an absolute load of rubbish, and a personal insult to me.

May you class your family as squatters in your hovel.

I think this is a good one Harrisfan, I just came back from picking up some water at Tops and I was standing behind a monger chatting up a cashier. He was going on an on about how much he loved Thailand and that he has lived in Thailand for three years now. I got sick of it and asked him in Thai if he could speak Thai. He looked at me dumbfounded while the cashier laughed at him. This shut him up quickly.

oh don't be judgemental,I bet your from the UK?

Language is now universal and we all shouldn't be forced to talk a certain language eg English in  England etc

Why don't you mind your own business?

Why was you ask some bloke who wasn't talking to you ?

While I agree it's not very polite or even clever to call people out on their lack of Thai language skills (there are all sorts of reasons why one might choose to not learn Thai), I hardly think you're really in a position to be telling people to mind their own business.

We all must adapt to a language which is comfortable to us

It maybe migrants eg in a new Country like the UK who are not ready to learn English and may be more comfortable speaking their own language and we all must not judge them and support them instead of being judgemental

And the same goes with Thailand, you may be more comfortable with your English language rather than Thai

Thai or foreigner everyone in thailand is out for themselves

My brother inlaw is a Brit, he asks me to meet him in bars from to time with his Brit mates. All they talk about is premier league football. That's probably all they know, the football is ok but they all give their opinions as if they were premier league managers. It wouldn't matter if a televised game is non premier league, they must watch the game and give their

expert opinions.

No different from any popular sport, if they were in their own country they would do this, I've actually met Italians, Spanish, French etc and they have a love for football, amazing eh?

I totally agree but surely they can change the subject occaisionally. I like watching football too but it doesn't dominate me.

Indeed. However you're still being extremely hypocritical expecting others to mind their own business when you are seemingly totally unable to.

When I first moved to Thailand, I used to hang out at a bar farang. I soon realized: I don't drink. I don't smoke. And I know nothing about footie, so I stopped going.

Ignore the angry guy, he's living a miserable life in Australia.

I respect that people living their lifes in different ways and i respect that same they should respect me living my kind of life. Why irritating about other people?Just ignore them if u dont want to deal with them.

Guys that spark up a cigarette while sitting on a motorcycle taxi so that red-hot cherry is just millimeters away from the driver's head.

Guys that sit next to you when other tables are available, and talk your ear off while blowing cigarette smoke in your face.

Guys you don't know who casually start telling you how they made their first million dollars. Of course they only invested a quarter million because if it didn't work out it wouldn't be a big loss for them. Then they ask you to loan them a hundred baht.

I had a really drunk guy come up to me asking for 5 Baht. Sth like "can you spare 5 baht? anything?"

Not sure if he was messing with me or just drunk out of his mind and didn't even know what he was saying or if he was literally broke because he blew his life savings on lady drinks.

Brilliant. Did you give him 5 baht? Personally I use the "I want my two dollars" (Better Off Dead, 1985) line when I'm pickled.🙃🙃

How does every thread about Thailand and others turn into a Trump hate thread? We are taking about Thailand and hookers/ bars/ scams in Thailand.

What is the malfunction that every thread has to end up as a Trump hate thread?

Can I make an observation to the AS Now editorial that these off topic posts and thread hijacks are deleted... it's nonsense.

Actually ,  would be a great idea if any comment mentioning Trump / politics  should be immediately/automatically moved to a pinned thread :   "Deranged Trump Posts" .

We already have a thread for those who post multitudes of derogatory Trump memes daily.

Seems to work pretty well to placate that poster's  obsession ....

I must say that I used to be really amazed and bewildered at the love Europeans have for their football .   Such patience !   Then i think i found the answer :   it must be akin to the average male's  propensity in those populations , for spending hours trying to score with the opposite sex and alas ........ going home emptyhanded.    A few tantalizing close calls... but just a slight headache and dirty uniform to show for one's efforts .

You don't go and watch football JUST to watch goals being scored
