  • Your second comment proves your first. Different strains have different effects and different people are effected differently. As for being "numbed" out on a couch listening to music or whatever it's

Coffeee ain't no health drink

It is a drug. Maybe we are abusing it by drinking 5 cups a day and adding 10 tablespoons of sugar.

The history of coffee is quite fascinating when you delve into it.

https://liamsinger.medium.com/magic-ceremony-and-alchemical-mysticism-in-coffee-765caca52f12

Sufi mystics brought it from Ethiopia and used it in their ceremonies.

While political leaders were uneasy with the free discourse and openly rebellious political discussion that was happening within coffeehouses. Several attempts were made to ban coffee throughout the 16th century by both religious and political authorities, but all proved unsuccessful.

Couldn't you just smoke LESS per session? So with 20% THC weed, just smoke 1/4 as much as you normally would? Surely it's the mg of THC you're consuming that is the determining factor?

I mean I'm not going to drink the same volume of alcohol in beer, wine or spirits.

you would expect but it just doesn't work like that

imagine taking someone who gets plastered on 2 alcho pops,
then forcing them to drink straight whiskey only
it would be difficult to not start tolerating more
and when trying just 2 alcho pops again, they do little

weaker stuff, you would not build a tolerance to it
also THC stays in the system 28 days, so imagine the build up with these stronger strains

I completely agree with this guy in the video. Modern weed isn't really spiritual, it just makes your mind cloudy or turns you inward.

A trope in older movies was to show someone becoming giggly and talkative after taking a hit. It was an exaggeration, but there was truth in it compared to the modern sedation impact.

It is well know that people with the wrong mindset can have a bad reaction to using weed.

That is why most users are happy well adjusted people, like me!!!! lol.

"Older movies"?

Certainly not Reefer Madness. Maybe Cheech and Chong: Up in Smoke?

Are you speaking from experience?

when smoking 3-5% hash in the 90's you would barely build up a tolerance,

I dont think hash was ever that low in percentage. The hash plant strain maybe yes. But actual hash no.

There is no set time frame for thc remaining in your system..thc is stored in fat cells. Consuming large amounts can cause it to remain in your system for many months.

As I understand it THC does not stay in the system for 28 days,   that refers to metabolites of THC which are non psychoactive. It is these non psychoactive compounds that test positive in urine tests

Complete nonsense post with black and white vision. Traditional thai stick fks me up way more hardcore, making me paranoid and anti social in the progress than specific types I smoke (sativa), which are modern indoor grown weed strains.

Obviously it does not matter at all what weed you smoke, it is about how often you smoke. The worst smokers always smoke cheap garbage as they are broke addicts. Is no different with someone doing coke twice a year and someone doing 2-3 grams a day.

Instead the real issues are often around the use of fertilizers while not washing the plants and crops clean, using pesticides, drying it wrong or selling weed that should been thrown away as it had diseases during the growth. This is why real legal weed is the dream, where all is lab tested and safe.

It is supposed to "uplift and energize".

Seems he still didn't learn the differences between strains lol. Indica always puts me on the couch while Sativa lifts me up.

What the hell has "mindset" got to do with how THC hits you?

Oh, hold on. You say it's a "well known" reaction. Never mind.

Most weed today is actually Indica in shops, so that is working towards the couch.

Actually not mindset but def. environment, I can smoke a lot more when I am home and already productive, which in a way is partly mindset too. This while I can barely take a few tokes if I am in central Bangkok and staying at a hotel, it hits me hardcore.

Long time smoker here. Without watching the video I can tell you that I've been saying the same thing for decades.

The hybrid stuff which is often derived from Durban Poison is way too strong and often causes psychosis or depression at the least. I won't go anywhere near it. If I can't grow my own and I can't find something as natural as possible, I prefer not to bother. High THC content doesn't mean it's better. It just means you're mashing your head.

Long time smoker here and I feel totally opposite. Been getting high for 55+ years and enjoy the high potency weed. Smoking much less and getting a much better high. Want some energy, use Sativa and get a nice buzz for a hike or a bike ride.  Need some couch lock? Get a strong Indica and kick back. All the while smoking a 1/4 of what I used to smoke.

I exercise daily and feel fit as a fiddle. Cheer all.

Yeah we're all different. I've heard a few times that if you're susceptible, if can cause you problems.

I obviously am. And I know of two teenage boys who completely lost it

after smoking loads of bud.

teens are possibly highly susceptible to psychosis / schizophrenia with regular use, according to some research.

That super rare 'research' turned also out that the same people are suspectible to that by using any substances including alcohol. This is not about weed but the people.
