I was talking about the absoutely superb 5 star restaurants in Washington, New York, Chicago, you will not find better restaurants anywhere in the world. The food in America is outstanding, you particularly notice it after you spent some time in England.

Doesnt take much time in Uk to realize the food is different there, and I agree some districts and some restaurants do have good food over there in USA, but for most, out of reach and out of budget. I truly enjoy Mexican food in Florida, best there is. And some stakes and homemade burgers, but not much better than Brasil to affordable prices. 

 

When it comes to world wide food, There is many countries I would mention before USA. Just in KL and Dubai is good examples of world kitchen in one place. Bangkok have become quite a good place for dining out as well, and again affordable prices.

That's the richness of American immigrant culture, one of the very best Chinese restaurants I've ever been to was in Chicago. It was huge and outstanding.

 

I don't like KL for dining, yes, they have good things, like that authentic north Chinese meat pie in  Pavilion, there are a few good things, it's true, but I think Bangkok is better for food. Mostly because Malaysian cuisine is a poor copy of Indonesian food.

 

There's a great Mexican restaurant in Cebu btw.
