A Thai man named Tar from Udon Thani has encountered persistent harassment from a 60-year-old lady claiming to admire him. On September 22, Tar, a 44-year-old, called the police after the woman arrived at his home, ready to move in despite his lack of any personal acquaintance with her. Officers found the lady wearing a disguise and carrying luggage, who claimed to have followed Tar on social media.

 

The incidents began after the woman contacted Tar through a phone number she found on a Facebook page linked to his brother’s restaurant. Originally posing as a business contact, she later revealed her romantic intentions. A former social media influencer, Tar had shifted focus to his own business over a decade ago and thus found her persistence troubling and unwelcome.

 

Tar reported that the woman had approached him several times over the past months, each time attempting to establish a romantic relationship. Despite her persistence, Tar continued to ignore her advances, explaining that her communications were often incoherent. On her latest visit, she proposed marriage, causing a commotion when Tar refused her again, leading him to involve the police.

 

Tar expressed his resolve to take legal steps if the harassment continues, highlighting the emotional toll it's taken on him. He urged the lady not to return, emphasizing his desire for the matter to be settled without further escalation or unwelcome visits.

To be honest I can't think of too many people I know who actually own a watch these days, let alone wear one.
