... hmmm, interesting, not a single bong-pipe on offer at Shopee as well anymore ... what the funk happened, there used to be all imaginable variations on there from bamboo to crystal ... enough to feed them pigs with ...?

Darn sure looks like they utterly purged it, huh?

Talking of pigs, lol ... hjuge purge probably, biggest purge anybody has ever seen ..?

You can order also through:
https://rollingpapers.in.th

If you scroll down you can order by the booklet, and not the box.

Due to Shopee & Lazada removing cannabis-related products, we have launched retail purchases directly through our official ROLLINGPAPERS.in.th domain.

We have been flooded with requests to buy our papers (previously wholesale only) and we're making them available to everyone. You're buying official WEED.TH rolling papers here.

Wholesale price is around 5-9 THB ea, above is if you only wanted to buy 1 booklet, no min order.

I realize this is an old topic now, but new information on the subject can still be useful to someone. With that in mind, I was recently in Villa supermarket, the original branch on Sukhumvit Soi 33, and noticed a large display of rolling papers. I believe there were a couple of RAW varieties, along with a wide selection of Zig Zag and OCB. Many of them were priced in the ฿30 to ฿40 per pack range.

There is also a certain irony in the fact that you can no longer buy rolling papers online through platforms like Shopee, yet you can walk into a supermarket and purchase them without any questions at all.

Papers are so 1970's. I use this or similar. Reusable, easily cleaned. Some even have a self-cleaning plunger.

I can't understand why they stopped at all, were they told to by "the authorities" did they just take it upon themselves ,? Its only paper after all. how do those that use rolling tobacco manage, the old style Thai papers are awful, no gummed edge and about the size of a credit card and heavy as newspaper

I'm happy with the Massa brand , can buy 32 packs for 600bt COD they stick well and burn well too and its always handy to have a big box full, nothing worse than running out

Not sure why Shopee stopped selling papers, probably they just didn't want to be involved with what they consider weed paraphernalia, but what is strange is that you can still find things on Shopee like grinders, rolling trays, joint carrying tubes, etc. I guess some stuff is OK if it can be used for other purposes, besides cannabis related applications.

I don't think I have ever seen those old style Thai papers. I have seen them in use upcountry in the distant past with villagers that put some sort of local tobacco in them, but never saw the actual papers in a package.

Never saw Massa brand either, but 20 Baht a pack is not bad. Cheap enough if they work well.

I have seen them, a friend had some. They are just rolled cardboard tubes at the end of the joint. Air/smoke passes through normally, but they don't actually filter anything. Cardboard filters (or tips or crutches as they are sometimes called) provide structure to prevent the joint from collapsing, keep plant material out of your mouth, control airflow for a smoother smoke, and let you hold the joint without burning your fingers.

From decades past, "roaches" always referred to the end of the joint. The last centimeter or less. Back then nobody ever used those cardboard filters, so a roach just referred to the last bit of the joint itself. Nothing to do with those cardboard filters people use now, but maybe in the UK the term has different meaning.

they work really well , as i mentioned in a previous post I had a few issues with Raw and Ocb just coming unstuck maybe they were fakes I couldn't say for sure, but no such problems with the Massa skins,

here's a link if you are interested https://www.massa-leaves.com/en

I just noticed they have a "no under20s" sign on the home page too , and yet they only sell papers its weird

They don't seem to be that well known, at least not around here, even the lads in the local ganga shop had never heard of them 1 other member has commented on this thread and he seemed pretty positive too

ok i didn' know that i guess we all have our weed slang in the UK its the cardboard ,

We smoke "Joints" or "Spliffs" but there's also "bifta" which confusingly in some places refers to a normal cigarette and in other places it means a joint, "doobie" is very rarely used (Whats a "blunt" by the way ?)

Papers are pretty much always referred to as "skins" when used for rolling joints and the process often referred to as " skinning up" "getting one together" or "doing one up " but when used for rolling a tobacco cigarette they are just called "papers"

As to what we actually smoke, when I was a lad it was pretty much just "Pot" which covered everything, but that could be split between "Hash" and "bush" ( never "grass")

"Pot" is rarely heard these days, and hash is rarely seen , so its generally called "weed" or a little less commonly "skunk" "ganga" is relatively uncommon except amongst west indians.

The end result ? we end up "Stoned", "wasted", "wrecked" "off ones head" or "twatted"

Or if the worst comes to the worst "Having A Whitey" an apt descriptive as one invariably turns white before vomiting

wasn' there a similar but much smaller thing called a "roach clip"

in terms of quantity, weed is not yet fully metric in the UK and is still sold a bit confusingly in old units each of which has a universally known slang term and which weirdly match the weights of the smaller coins of currency

Teenths ( a sixteenth of an ounce) conveniently the exact weight of a halfpenny piece

Henrys as in henry the eighth ( an eighth of an ounce) The exact weight of a 1 penny coin

Daughters bit of rhyming slang ( a quarter of an ounce) The weight of a two pence coin

The next after that was "an oz" an ounce and I think a pound was referred to as "a weight "

There were also " 9 bars" which were a standard size bar of moroccan hash of 9 ounces

But any body who finds themselves caught short and who has to resort to buying off a street dealer has to accept a unique unit of measurement known as the dreaded "20 bag" a small, often minute ziplock bag containing a variable but always tiny amount of weed and the price was £20

I've had to resort to that a few times over the years, it is possible but its also awkward and requires patience and they are not long enogh

Those papers you are using are a local brand it seems. I'm not particularly keen on the branding and iconography, but if they work well that's what counts.

If you buy RAW or OCB papers from Villa Market or HighSo Store, I wouldn't expect any fakes. If from a small local weed shop then possibly a higher chance of fakes. Personally, I think Bambu are still the nicest papers ever made. Especially their bigger sized hemp papers. And beautifully designed from top to bottom.

I remember people used those medical tongs a lot in the seventies and eighties as a roach clip at home. They worked well, but were cumbersome and not as portable. They had actual roach clips too as you mentioned, but from what I remember they never seemed like great quality and often tore the end of the joint from what I remember because they were more like miniature alligator style clamps. I remember those roach clips that were attached to brightly colored feathers on a leather string for some reason. People would then clip them onto their rear view mirror in the car and the feathers would dangle. Then when they needed a roach clip they just pulled it off the mirror.

Words for being high: stoned, trashed, baked, ripped, out of my skull...

I remember the quantities being sold were referred to as nickel bags, dime bags, an 8th, a half oz, an ounce, a 1/4 pound, a half pound, etc.
