Conclusion: Unpacking the Final COVID Myth

Two years after the official end of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is time to critically reexamine one of its most enduring and widely accepted claims: that “COVID-19 vaccines have saved millions and millions of lives.”1

In this article, we subjected that core narrative to a detailed, step-by-step investigation, building upon our prior, more comprehensive and technically rigorous review of the evidence (Ophir et al., 2023).14

...

Based on the evidence reviewed in this article, we find no solid empirical foundation for the claim that “COVID-19 vaccines saved millions and millions of lives.”1

While these vaccines were widely promoted as safe and effective, accumulating reports of serious adverse events, such as myocarditis, pericarditis, thrombosis, and neurological symptoms, have been documented across multiple studies and pharmacovigilance systems. Moreover, this biologically active intervention was administered repeatedly in the form of boosters, often to healthy individuals with near-zero risk of COVID-related mortality.

Taken together with the lack of demonstrable long-term efficacy presented in this article, the available evidence suggests that the risk–benefit balance of the COVID-19 vaccines is, in fact, tilted toward the negative end of this fundamental medical equation.72,73

IMHO ... there is no way to tell the effectiveness of any vaccine.   Especially the C19 vaccines, as the numbers were all so corrupt.

As the corruption of the C19 vaccine is exposed, all facet of it, so now are the past vaccine being looked at a bit more, and not surprisingly, seem to as corrupted in their reporting and effectiveness.   Along with some, causing more harm than avoiding.

Simply too much money involved to believe anything any more.   Just have to go by what you know and experienced on a personally level, and for me, I'll never take another vaccine again, not that I have lately.

I've experienced the ineffectiveness of past vaccines, and sadly, now know more people harmed by current vaccine (C19) than any help it may have provided.  Those are non debatable FACTS.

Debunking the claim that anyone should believe one word out of Peter McCullough's mouth relating to COVID. The OP article is a bunch of typical non-credible anti-vaxer nonsense from disreputable sources.

Co-author Peter McCullough is a mass COVID misinformer, disgraced doctor who was stripped of his medical board certifications because of his rampant COVID misinfo peddling, author of multiple published journal articles that have been retracted by the involved journals after they found his work was non-credible, etc etc.

ABIM Revokes Certification of Another Doctor Who Made Controversial COVID Claims

It's not clear exactly when credentials for Peter McCullough, MD, MPH, were revoked

January 2, 2025

The American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) revoked the board certification of Peter McCullough, MD, MPH, a cardiologist who promoted controversial views about COVID-19.

Paper claiming ‘extensive’ harms of COVID-19 vaccines to be retracted

February 19, 2024

A journal is retracting a paper on the purported harms of vaccines against COVID-19 written in part by authors who have had similar work retracted before.

...

The senior author on the work was Peter McCullough, a cardiologist at the Institute of Pure and Applied Knowledge who lost his board certification after the American Board of Internal Medicine found he had “provided false or inaccurate medical information to the public.”

Indeed, McCullough had already lost one paper, in Current Problems in Cardiology, from Elsevier, when he and his colleagues submitted their latest opus to Cureus. And SSRN, which hosts preprints for The Lancet, another Elsevier journal, had removed work by him and colleagues claiming large numbers of deaths from COVID-19 vaccines.

Peter McCullough makes multiple false, misleading, and unsupported claims about COVID-19 vaccine safety and efficacy in viral podcast

03 May 2023

"Incorrect: COVID-19 vaccines haven’t been shown to be toxic. “Detox” practices are unnecessary and their alleged effectiveness isn’t supported by scientific evidence.

Factually inaccurate: Large-scale trials show that COVID-19 vaccines don’t increase the risk of negative pregnancy outcomes and instead reduce pregnancy complications due to COVID-19.

Inadequate support: No evidence suggests a link between COVID-19 vaccines and a rise in deaths and medical conditions. Robust clinical trials showed no benefit of hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin treatment in COVID-19 patients.

------------------------------------------------

There's LOTS more of the same off-the-ranch nonsense from McCullough, but to recount it all, I'd be posting here all night and beyond!

\

And then there's this off-the-ranch oddball academic who's best known regarding his views on Jesus as another of the "eminent" co-authors along with McCullough.

Raphael Lataster

"Raphael Lataster (1984–) is an Australian secular teacher of religious studies,[1] and author of books and articles questioning the historicity of Jesus and asserting Christ myth theory, especially There Was No Jesus, There Is No God (2013),[2][3][4] and Jesus Did Not Exist: A Debate Among Atheists (2015), with Richard Carrier.

...

Unsurprisingly, Lataster holds strong anti-vax views and promotes them at Substack."

https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Raphael_Lataster

And the main listed author, Yaakov Ophir, as another academic who has absolutely zero credentials relating to COVID -- kind of like going to a podiatrist to get advice on whether you need heart surgery.

Yaakov Ophir

Dr. Yaakov Ophir is Head of the Mental Health Innovation and Ethics Lab at Ariel University and a member of the Steering Committee for the Centre for Human-Inspired Artificial Intelligence (CHIA) at the University of Cambridge. His research explores digital-age psychopathology, AI and VR screening and interventions, and critical psychiatry. His recent book, ADHD Is Not an Illness and Ritalin Is Not a Cure, challenges the dominant biomedical paradigm in psychiatry. As part of his broader commitment to responsible innovation and scientific integrity, Dr. Ophir critically assesses scientific studies related to mental health and medical practice, with particular attention to ethical concerns and the influence of industrial interests. He is also a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in child and family therapy. [emphasis added]

https://www.eurasiareview.com/author/yaakov-ophir/

And all of the above published in a dubious, little-known online journal that specializes in topics having absolutely nothing to do with COVID -- which is a typical ploy of desperate anti-vaxers who can't get their false, factually deficient claims published in any credible, reputable forum.

You don't need to be a 'doctor' to see that people are sick,

you don't need to be a 'virologist'  to crunch the numbers of reported adverse incidents after the roll out of an experimental coerced mandated mRNA concoction on an unsuspecting population.

You do need a time machine to claim that COVID-19 vaccines saved millions of lives.

What our usual troller of CDC/WHO/Big Pharma propagana with thousands of links stored on his computer fails to mention is this saving of millions of lives was based on a computer model. There's no actual evidence.

Well, we do have this -- one of the biggest right-wing COVID denying/minimizing academics in the field -- John Ioannidis from Stanford, a guy who once claimed the U.S. would probably only have 10,000 COVID deaths, with the actual number becoming almost 1.3 MILLION -- recently published a journal article now after-the-fact acknowledging that COVID vaccines saved more than 2.5 million lives -- which is vastly smaller than all other projections on the issue.

Brownstone is kind of a hub of COVID misinformation publishing, and people associated with them have ended up filling and influencing a lot of the so-called public health postures of the current Trump Administration.

"In 2021, [Jeffrey] Tucker founded the nonprofit Brownstone Institute for Social and Economic Research, a think tank that opposes various measures against COVID-19, including masking and vaccine mandates. Senior roles were given to Martin Kulldorff and Jay Bhattacharya, two of the co-authors of the Great Barrington Declaration, which Tucker also helped to organize. The institute has described itself as "the spiritual child" of the Great Barrington Declaration. Writers of Brownstone articles have included Sunetra Gupta, the third co-author of the Great Barrington Declaration, Paul E. Alexander, a former Trump administration health official, and George Gilder, a senior resident fellow at AIER.[25][26] Science-Based Medicine has described the Brownstone Institute as spreading misinformation against vaccines and in favor of disproven treatments.[27] [emphasis added]

Anti-vaxer extreme Robert F. Kennedy Jr. appointed anti-vaxer Kulldorf to head an advisory panel within the U.S. CDC, while Trump named Bhattacharya, another COVID minimizing Stanford academic like Ionnidis,  to preside over the dismantling of the U.S. National Institutes of Health.

Evidence. Real world independant scientific evidence that the experimental, poorly trialed mRNA jabs actually saved millions of lives. Got any? Of course Covid deaths is another area that needs looking into. End of life medication given to the elderly who were sick with covid and were basically put down were added to the Covid deaths stats. Did this happen? Your extreme support for these jabs, CDC and Big Pharma will unravel as time goes on. The truth will come out.

"During the covid-19 pandemic, they promoted vaccine hesitancy, such as why I Will Not Take the Second Dose. They have also promoted misinformation and made false claims about vaccines (see fact checks below). In general, they are right-biased and sometimes promote misinformation. [emphasis added]

Obviously, Ophir, the main author of the OP report, is right where he belongs writing for the Brownstone Institute!

So the "experts" conjured up the number out of thin air, just like they did for viruses and vaccination.
