If this can happen to Noam Chomsky, over such a very few years, then what will happen to you?

 

 

 

In my opinion, it's a shame, and it's a drag, and it's no fun getting old.

I am feeling so sad.....because.....I am older today....

He is 96 yrs old, and did have a stroke.  Wouldn't be the look I'd be going for, but then, I don't think he's trying to impress anyone.

 

If not in a relationship or care to be in one, I probably would have a beard.   Too vain now, as it easily adds 10+ yrs to my handsomeness.  I can easily pass for someone in my 50s without the beard.

 

Not ready for looking in my 70s, as won't get nearly as many smiles from them youngins

Eat more preservatives, you’ll last longer.

Getting old requires a lot of perspective and a lot of work on one's attitude, one has to continually look within and reflect. Otherwise I notice a lot of guys as they get older become bitter and there's a certain aspect of getting older that's very humiliating and undignified, and we have to do what we can to counter that from within. Maintaining a sense of gratitude helps a lot.

But, maybe....that is only because they are approaching the BITTER end.

 

I once felt the same way when I was approaching the end of my Philly Cheesesteak,...

And had no money to buy another one.

 

All good things must pass.

 

And, only a fool would be happy about never being able to have another bite.

 

 

 

I don't know which GOD you are referring to, but mine has been very good to me.

78 next month, no major problems, or beard.

Thank gawd for age and death. Who would want to live forever? What you should hope for is that it comes quick and doesn’t burden anyone.

Ya' know what though, I don't mind. I mean if my muscles ache, it's because I've used 'em. It's hard for me to walk up them steps now, its 'cuz I walked up 'em every night to lay next to a man who loved me. I got a few wrinkles here and there, but I've layed under thousands of skies with sunny days. I look and feel this way, well cuz I drank and I smoked. I lived and I loved, danced, sang, sweat and screwed my way thorough a pretty damn good life if you ask me. Getting old ain't bad Ben. Getting old, that's earned.

Of course, the Title was revised, slightly, which changed its meaning ever so slightly. But the connotation completely changed.

Both connotations are interesting, however, and one is as good as the next.

Yes, we are talking about nuances of slightly altered syntactic structures.

Sometimes just changing word order, or adding a seemingly innocuous alternation, can significantly change the resultant meaning.

 

Which is neither here nor there, in this case.
