Pet-friendly living in Phuket: A closer look at Arise Vibe

For many expats in Thailand, pets are part of the family. A morning walk on the beach, afternoons at a café with outdoor seating, or simply sharing a quiet evening at home,  life feels incomplete without them. Yet for years, finding a condominium that welcomes cats and dogs has been one of the biggest frustrations for pet owners in Thailand.

Most developments have long prohibited animals, leaving buyers and renters with limited options. But this is starting to change. With Thailand’s pet market growing rapidly, more developers are beginning to embrace pet-friendly living.

In Phuket, one of the most promising examples is Arise Vibe, a new development in Si Sunthon.

The bigger picture: pet-friendly condos in Thailand

According to market data, only 10 to 15% of condominiums across Thailand officially allow pets. Bangkok leads the way, with most options clustered in upscale neighbourhoods such as Thonglor and Phrom Phong.

Phuket is catching up, particularly in residential areas suited for longer-term stays, while Pattaya offers a fair number, and Koh Samui still has very few.

Pet-friendly homes do often come at a premium, with some units priced up to 20% higher than standard condos. Yet demand continues to rise, supported by Thailand’s growing pet care industry, expected to reach US$1.5 billion by 2025.

From gourmet food and grooming to veterinary services, pets are increasingly seen and treated as family. Naturally, this shapes how and where people want to live.

Developers are now recognising this shift. Just as earlier projects were marketed around wellness or co-working spaces, pet inclusivity is becoming an important selling point.

Introducing Arise Vibe in Si Sunthon

Among the new projects, Arise Vibe stands out for making pets part of its master plan rather than an afterthought. The development consists of three low-rise buildings with 411 units in total. One building, Tower A, has been fully designated as pet-friendly.

The pet policy is practical:

  • Smaller units (25.8–34.5 sqm) allow up to two pets.

  • Larger units (38.8–102.6 sqm) allow up to three pets.

This flexibility makes it suitable whether you’re a single retiree with a cat, a couple with a small dog, or a family with multiple pets.

Units are designed with open layouts, built-in kitchens, and wide windows for natural light. Furnished packages are also available, making move-in easier. Prices start from around 2.5 million baht, or about 94,000 baht per sqm, well below the 150,000 baht average in nearby Cherng Talay.

The developer, Ornsirin Group, is well known in northern Thailand with over 30 completed projects in Chiang Mai. Arise Vibe is their first major venture in Phuket.

Facilities and lifestyle

Arise Vibe offers more than just living space. The centrepiece is Phuket’s largest standalone clubhouse, with over 30 facilities. These include a 60-metre saltwater pool, a fitness and yoga studio, a boxing gym, a climbing wall, and co-working lounges. For families, there is a kids’ pool, library, and creative studio.

Not every area is open to pets, but landscaped gardens and walkable grounds give plenty of room for daily exercise. A shuttle service also connects residents to Bang Tao Beach, one of the most pet-friendly stretches of sand on the island.

Other conveniences include underground parking, EV charging, 24-hour security, and on-site retail.

Why Si Sunthon works for expats

While Cherng Talay often gets more attention, Si Sunthon is quietly becoming a preferred choice for long-term expats. Its quieter roads and residential feel are particularly appealing to pet owners who value space and calmer surroundings.

Practical amenities are never far away. International schools such as UWC Thailand and BISP, hospitals, and shopping centres like Robinson Lifestyle Thalang and Porto de Phuket are close by. Planned infrastructure projects, including the Phuket Light Rail, are expected to improve accessibility further and add long-term value to the area.

A sound investment for the future

Because pet-friendly condos remain rare, developments like Arise Vibe often enjoy stronger demand and hold their value better than standard projects. With rental yields in the Bangtao-Pasak area already reaching 9 to 10% for one-bedroom units, there is clear potential for both lifestyle buyers and investors.

All units at Arise Vibe are Airbnb-ready, with professional management available. For landlords, a pet-friendly setup can also be a strong selling point on rental platforms, where genuine options are scarce.

A lifestyle that feels complete

For older expats and retirees, the appeal of a pet-friendly home goes beyond convenience. It’s about having a community that supports the way you want to live, peaceful, practical, and welcoming.

Arise Vibe offers that balance: space for pets, facilities for wellbeing, and a location close to both daily essentials and the beach. Combined with competitive pricing and a reputable developer, it represents a rare opportunity in Phuket’s property market.

Units are now available from 3.9 million baht for a one-bedroom plus with views, reduced from the original 4.2 million baht.
