You don't eat raw food in markets. A lot of the raw stuff is sprayed with chemicals and fish is often dodgy.

Where do you actually get your information from? Guessing doesn't work in any situation. Unless a study is done, all over, you don't what what goes on, and seeing many lie, exaggerate and hide the truth, the only way to know is studies done by those in the nutrition field, not biased opinions.

I'm thinking you haven't spent much time at markets because you go from hotel to hotel, not actually getting involved in the local scene like expats here, eating with girlfriends, wives or families but only eating in restaurants. I eat weekly, over 7 years. with families. I go to markets every week, either myself or with my girlfriend, who's lived here 44 years, and is an excellent cook, healthy, and knows what to buy, all over this province, and eat with my girlfriend weekly, so I know hat's available.

Getting laid in the USA these days as a man over 50 of average means by a 20-something is near impossible these days unless you are a rock star or famous artist...

I go to markets each week in Thailand. I walk around and look at all the dishes. I've been to every large market in Thailand. Most dishes are high in fat and or sugar. Every green veges are cooked in bad oils. Every dessert is loaded with sugar. Even shakes are high in sugar unless you say no sugar.

I'm in Thailand 4 to 5 months a year. I eat out 1 to 2 times a day. So that's about 200 restaurants or markets a year. Lean chicken and egg is probably the most healthy dish. Most are not.

You just read books.

I have been friends with Thai chefs for 25 years. Every Thai person knows most dishes are high in sugar or fat. This is why Thais are getting fat. They walk less and eat loads of excess fat or sugar.

True, it always takes money no matter where you live. I would never go after a woman under 40 now, seeing I'm moving back to the US, and like having a partner. I have seen, and known, many really pretty, nicely shaped, women in their 50's, as they took good care of themselves all their lives, and didn't rely on youth to look good.

I have been fighting a stigma against walking here for years. Almost everybody takes taxi's anywhere. I'm often the only person walking anywhere.

Thais are increasing in size because of western food, period. If you go back a few decades, finding a fat Thai wasn't easy. Now they're everywhere, because of the influx of western food and drink.

You can research the ingredients on Thai dishes or ask a chef or spend time in a kitchen. Dishes like green curries are often cooked with premade pastes. Only the better ones make there own.

Yes, I read a lot, and have all my life. It;s how you increase your knowledge after high school. And I've again, eaten Thai food from many family and friends here all the time I've lived here, along with loving Thai food all my life and eating in Thai restaurants since teen years. Most Thai restaurants in the US are run by Thais.

Before you post, think that I might already have known this for decades.

In small towns there isnt any western food yet Thais are fat. Every drink is loaded with sugar unless you say no sugar. Thai desserts are loaded with sugar or condensed milk. Roti is covered in it. Thais used to cook more. Now they eat out cause the cost is similar and more is available to eat.

Then you should have agreed with me. Apart from home cooking most Thai food is high fat and or sugar.

Leo dicaprio does it but looks disgusted with himself while doing it. Once you reach that age ideally you are settled down with someone near your age, otherwise you are hanging around a different generation of women whom you have nothing in common with

Masturbation is always an option in The USA. Lots of guys stroke their pud over there. I remember being real frustrated over there when I lived in a rural area. Sometimes I was stroking several times a day.

There has been western food in all of Thailand for decades. Every &-11 has them, and every small shop does also, especially regarding the worst thing you can consume, which is sugar drinks. Where do you think the Thais get most of their info about anything from? The western influences. When I first moved to my village in 2018, all the shops had the drinks, snacks, chips and cakes. Everyone in Thailand knows about KFC and Dunkin Donuts.

Why would anyone want to associate with other foreigners here? nothing but moaning, showing off and trouble. I came here to get away from the bastards.

It's not just sugar, it's anything. It's always too much or too little.

Many Thai restaurants cook healthy, and you can ask them to adjust anything you order. They make things according to what sells, catering to what they have seen. It isn't high fat unless it's fried, and sugar isn't added to many things. Sugar is placed on restaurant tables, and i see many putting it in soup, which isn't necessary, as soup isn't supposed to be sweet, but habits are habits. Once you get a sweet tooth, it's up to you to keep it at bay.

There are fat people in villages with no 7/11. Most of the market food is loaded with sugar or fat.

Maybe because most other foreigners aren't bastards but are generally okay?

You do know people have scooters and all visit the closest larger towns right?

Some of the happiest guys I have known over here associate only with other foreigners.

Curries are pre made. You would have to order a stir fry and say no sugar. Still they use cheap oils.

I wouldn't know what others do behind closed doors. That's just assuming. Anyone at age age or size can find a partner, especially if they're a decent person.

Not everyday. Some families share 1 scooter. They go to local store and buy sugar drinks. It's not 7/11 fault. Rather it's drinks like Red Bull which is Thai.

No Thai food is bad unless you eat too much of it. Most of the world's population is overweight or obese because they either just like to eat and not care, or don't know what healthy eating means.

Again, you're assuming what millions of people here do. You only get to see, daily, what a few are dojng, and unless you are following them home, don't know what anyone is doing. 7-11 sells things that they know people will buy. many major food suppliers know that people get addicted to salt and sugar, so that's why they load them up with it. Red Bull isn't Thai.

Fat and sugar are addictive. It takes 6 months of breaking that addiction to fix it.

Yep, they also re-use the oil a lot. It breaks down when you re-use it and becomes much unhealthier. The heat causes cancel related radicals to develop as the oil breaks down.

I had some pad thai in CM once when they just opened the restaurant (saw them use new oil) and it tasted completely different then the stuff I got after they kept re-using the old oil throughout the day.

You're assuming too. I've been to many locations and lots of food and drinks are junk.

Why don't you name 20 Thai dishes that are low in fat and sugar.
