A woman in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand, was allegedly attacked by her employer's daughter, Bee, who poured boiling water over her. The incident, reportedly sparked by the woman's relationship with Bee's brother, left the 22-year-old with severe burns. The attack drew widespread attention after a social media post showed the victim's injuries.

The attack occurred on October 1 at a motorcycle shop where the victim worked alongside her sister. The sister reported seeing Bee with a kettle before hearing her sibling's cries and rushing to find Bee assaulting her sister. The victim was taken to the hospital for immediate surgery and further treatments due to the severity of the burns.

The motive behind the attack is believed to be the victim's discreet relationship with Bee's brother, which had been ongoing for two months. Although the couple kept their relationship private, family disapproval was evident. The brother had reportedly argued with Bee about the relationship just days before the incident.

Bee and her father later turned themselves into the police, where Bee was charged with physical assault causing serious injury. Penalties for the charge range from six months to ten years in prison. During a media interaction, Bee expressed regret but gave no further details, offering to pay for medical expenses and compensation.

Looking ahead, as legal proceedings unfold, Bee's cooperation could affect sentencing. The community and relevant authorities are watching closely to see how the case progresses.

Key Takeaways

  • A ladyboy was allegedly attacked with boiling water due to a romantic relationship.
  • The attack highlights potential tensions surrounding relationships and family disapproval.
  • Legal proceedings are underway, with the accused offering to cover medical costs.

Well I'll bee damned if I can figure out whose sister's employer's boyfriend's sibling's daughter's secret employee is involved.

It says that the victim was a ladyboy, who presumably was having it off with the attacker's brother, who, I guess, they did not know he was gay. No way to do something like this though.

It doesn't quote the victim's boyfriend. Why not?

scarred for life.

very sad stuff and let's hope the sentence if very long.

many employers won't even hire someone who is disfigured probably.

Neither can the AI-generated Key Takeaways as it says the victim is a ladyboy.

Jealousy and envy are very corrosive emotions... clearly a lack of emotional intelligence, as is usual here in so many situations, just children really.

I hope there are judicial actions tossing the perp in jail.

Give her the full ten years for the lifetime of suffering the victim will have to endure

What?  Not one person commented on the burns suffered by the person in the hospital, ladyboy or not.

I agree. Maximum sentences should be given to those who intentionally disfigure others for life. People willing to do this are a danger to society.

I hope she gets 10 years, that was a very vicious, and positively premeditated crime.

Huh?

I can’t even look at the photo without thinking of the pain.    God Bless the victim.

I've been married to a Thai lady for 34 years, and even now, I'm still trying to work out who's who in the family. It's quite challenging in a country where everyone seems to be referred to as sisters and brothers😄

I like when we enquire about buying something like a vehicle, and after months of asking it turns out the actual legal owner is the husband of some distant cousin 1000km away that no one knows. 🙄

Have you tried drawing a chart?

It is times such as this, that I recall the phrase, from the bible I believe, - "An eye for an eye".

I feel the same about acid attacks.

The perpetrator needs to experience and understand the agony of such a horrendous act - and the life-changing results of her actions.

Many may not agree. But I have 3 daughters - I can't imagine how they would recover from such a cowardly and vicious attack like this.

Or, I would feel if someone did that to one of them, nor the drastic and destructive quality reduction of their lives from that day forward, until they died.

This is the reality and the consequences of what this woman, 'Bee', has done to this girl.
