I have seen both, and marriage problems is as real with non bar girls and with bar girls, but in my belief, there is less normal girls who married foreigners than the other categories, so 

 

of course if you marry one girl straight from beach road, soi 6 or any other <deleted> bar, you know what you get, but there is quite a range of different girls who are quite decent working in normal beer bars as well.

I think that was the case 20+ years ago (not many 'normal' Thai women married to foreigners). But that's not likely the case these days. I guess it depends on your environment - if you live in Pattaya you'd probably think only bar girls marry foreigners, but if you live in Bangkok, you'd realize that's not true (at least not by appearances), and the number of young possibly non married Thai girls with normal jobs in Bangkok with farang boyfriends is a common sight.

If she's a hardened bar girl - with high mileage, used to shagging every kind of loser that staggered into her bar - then if you took her to your country, it wouldn't take her long to be working afternoons with punters while you're at work. Might be best to shack up with that one in Patters for a while (not married) and cohabit no higher than the 2nd floor of course.  On the other hand, if she hasn't worked too long on the game, you could probably take her to your country, or move her to Bangkok for a while and see how it goes.
