The Israelis have ruined Pai. Same with Ko Phangan, I was thinking of a trip there, but now that it's clear the area is firmly in the grip of Israeli criminals I am forced to reconsider that as well.

They found drugs and offered a deal Israelis couldn't refuse: to reduce amount of heist down to super minimal in the report - so they will get deported only and no jail time. Yes, that "deal" cost them sh*t load of money. 

 

Everybody win: Israeli fly home, policemen got pretty hefty "reward", a snitch drinks Singha at seafood joint. 

 

Been there, saw that with my own eyes.

I have moved as far away from the Chabad house as possible, to the other end of CM. Plus, I'm very careful  when I go out and I keep a small Vietnamese potbelly pig as a pet in the front garden. Just in case.
