GG I did write this just an  hour ago.

Started 9 years ago when I was 64 and my kids were leaving for university in America.

With your mathematical ability I would rethink doing analysis, statistics and graphs.    9+64= 73. Stick to the floors mate...

The gamble now is will you make the next 20-25 years you have left ?

theres no guarantee

There is no guarantee that one lives tomorrow. Nobody knows how long they have left.

And what about it? How you supposed to live your life if there is no certainty?

Live like it is your last day and plan for eternity is my best answer.

Life is about people, food and fun times. It's not about location.

Why did you not include the word moronic in your description?

That's how you live life "to the fullest" when you're on a tight budget.

As we get towards the end of 2025 many of you still haven't come to realisation that you will become a year older

The calendar has no bearing on individual age champion. We become a year older each birthday.

I'll leave that up to the other member's appraisal.

Well that's where your wrong , why should a 80yo man not go to a dance club ?

No one wants to party with an 80 year old in a nightclub.

As we get towards the end of 2025 many of you still haven't come to realisation that you will become a year older.

Really? What makes you think that?

You are a year older every day with respect to the same date last year.

If someone doesn't realise that, as each years passes, they become a year older, then they have some serious issues.

Perhaps it just you Georgie boy.

I don't like that YouTube song

The song I like that reflects the image is one I heard blaring out whilst doing my "patrols" of the Flybird condominium in Pattaya and it's apparently a 1995 song called Lemon tree

As I walked the  decrepit corridors of Flybird I peeked my nose against the wire screen doors to peer in to see mostly elderly topless men laying on their bed

I could feel the heat of their 21sqm "prison cell " against my face as I forced my face further push into the wire screen door to look.

Some of their screen doors were that rusted I felt like my head forcing against their screen doors could break them as I felt my nose forcing the wire forward as I attempted to look around inside their rooms

The song lemon tree was blaring and very sad

The older we get, what we thought was fun in our twenties, hopefully not the same as in your 50ìes, and same for in. Your 70`ies.

And having fun turns more to enjoying life instead of chasing things you can not or should not do anymore.

In my case it is cannot; rather than should not.

Grow old disgracefully.

Brilliant post

Grow old disgracefully

Just because your old(er) doesn't mean you need to "act" old

I'm not going to be like my father's generation and wear long socks and cardigans

Your a realist the only problem with that is ....

If things go south relationship wise .....they can kick you out !

I asked my late mother to sign the house over to me before she died ....she went to see a bloodsucking lawyer who advised her NOT to

He actually told me to wait outside the room until he spoke to her !

Smart lawyer.

I guess he knew you well.

Possible

I would hate the alternative, sitting in a 21sqm unit in the flybird condominium or Nirun condominium all day bored out of my mind listening to banging doors and screaming kids

See, you could be sitting in a 60 sqm condo with beautiful pool and well equipped gym in many seaside locations in Thailand. The world is your oyster

Or walking around peeping into them.

Time is NOT limited, as you mistakenly state in this Topic.

There is enough Time for you, and for me.

If you want to make your time seem longer, or as long as you wish...then...

Just move faster.
