Department of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth formerly D list Fox News host attended the recent meeting between Trump and Zelinskyy sporting a tie with unmistakable Russian flag colors. To Zelinskyy that's a real kick in the nuts as Putin's Russia is dedicated to erasing Ukraine.

So the poll question is -- did Hegseth do that intentionally or is he just stupid and didn't know what he was wearing?

To add, the department Hegseth heads is still the Department of Defense, not the Department of War just because Trump says it is so. For there to be a legal name change requires an act of congress.

Pete isn't the brightest of people, but he knew exactly what he was doing, and it tells you all you need to know about the pathetic little s***.

A fun video on this topic.

The Kremlin thanks Hegseth for his allegiance.

That's hilarious.

Just when you thought this administration could not get any better.

World class trolls for sure.

Not sure that's what most people are looking for in their national leadership though.

Exactly. But since the average mental age of MAGA is around 5 y/o the dominant motivator is "stick it to the grown-ups", so exactly what is to be expected.

Hegseth managed to get into Princeton and even graduated, so he couldn't be that stupid.

Since the Russian flag colors are red, white & blue, was it the arrangement of stripes that made his tie evocative of the Russian one?

Good grief, you really let your conspiratorial imagination go free ranging into the fantasy abyss. It’s astounding how some folks can come up with something like this off-wall delusion from a tie color, no wonder the left has totally lost it.

Stop gaslighting.

We all can see the tie.

Whether he put it on deliberately or not is immaterial; hours before the image appeared on US media, it was being circulated by Russian media, crowing about it.

Its not a tie he has worn before in public. In principle, after the President, Hegseth, as a former news pundit (and a fan of Botox it seems), ought to be the most media savvy member of the cabinet. He would have had a TV fluffer preparing him every day for his Fox appearances.
