Good, I am glad, as there will be no chance of any real peace in the region whilst even a single Hamas member survives Are all you leftists really incapable of understanding that simple fact?

Nothing to do with left or right. Jeez, i support Trump and want all boat immigrants expelled from the UK, nay turned around and pointed in another direction before they get in. I support Tommy Robinson and Farage. Am In lefty?

  • They don't.   As neither Israel NOR the USA are signatories to the ICC or the ICJ they simply ignore them.   It is about time that both countries were kicked out of the UN and well

  • I totally agree. It’s crazy that Israel are still starving the Gazans, which is so transparently trying to kill the peace process. Rubio said the illegal settler expansion is also a threat. Good thing

  • Who cares what they say. Trump will decide. I absolutely agree. Stop the funding immediately, sieze the building as proceeds of terrorism and give every employee 24 hours to leave the country.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has ruled that Israel must allow aid into Gaza, finding restrictions over the past two years breach international obligations. The advisory opinion stated that Israel impeded the supply of aid by UN organizations, notably Unrwa, banned from the territory since January. The ICJ asserted that Israel failed to justify ending cooperation with Unrwa and must cooperate to ensure humanitarian assistance.

Israel dismissed the findings, asserting it complies with international law. The ICJ emphasized violations of UN immunities and humanitarian obligations, leading to potential calls for Israel's UN suspension. Norway, responsible for bringing the case, plans to push for a UN resolution based on these findings, hoping for full UN and NGO access to Gaza.

The court condemned Israel's actions, stating they could constitute using starvation as warfare, and criticized the blockade of aid from March to May. The ruling declared that Israel's alternative aid efforts were inadequate and emphasized the need for Israel to facilitate fair and non-discriminatory aid distribution. ICJ findings included over 2,100 Palestinian deaths near aid points, a famine declaration, and prohibited mass population transfers under the Geneva Conventions.

Key Takeaways

  • ICJ mandates Israel to facilitate aid flow into Gaza.
  • Israel's restrictions violate international laws, causing humanitarian crises.
  • Norway seeks UN resolution to enforce ICJ's findings.

Kick two of the most powerful nations in the world out of an organization intended to solve international problems.  That sounds like a very sensible plan.

Moreover, the U.S. is by far the biggest financial contributor to the U.N. to the tune of $14.1 billion per year.  The U.S. covers 22% of the U.N.'s regular budget; 25% of its peace-keeping budget and 40% of its humanitarian aid.  Which countries would cover that shortfall?

I support the US being kicked out of the UN.  Please do it.

Israel can do what it likes as the ICC nagging means nothing, as Israel isn't a member. Might as well pass a judgement that Russia is a hurty nasty state that should be nice... good luck.

Accepted. However, I fail to see how someone on the right side(although I hate to be so polarized).

I value national independence and resistance to foreign control.

I despise the Israel lobby who don’t put America first, but Israel.

$7,000,000,000,000 of tax payers money has been wasted on Middle Eastern wars just because of the ‘donations’ by far right Jewish extremists like Miriam Adelson, who gave Trump $400,000,000 and in return got asked to stand up when Trump addressed the Knesset. Oh, he did give her an embassy in Jerusalem….

As a Christian, it’s my moral duty to defend the oppressed.

As a Christian, it's my moral duty to defend oppressed Jews and fight antisemitism.  I fully support the right of Jews to a homeland on the territory they currently occupy.  Israelis also have the right to defend themselves against attack  by countries or terrorist groups.

I fully agree the wars in the Middle East were unnecessary, but they were caused by Arab attempts to destroy Israel and drive the Jews into the sea.  Israel's defense of its homeland and citizens was absolutely necessary to preserve national independence and to resist foreign control by Arabs.

I view the money given to Israel by the U.S. as the best possible use of my tax-payer's dollars.  It gave the U.S. a reliable ally in the Middle East and the IDF and Israelis bore the brunt of combatting Islamist expansion and terrorism, thereby saving many American lives.

Claiming American Jews ("the Israeli lobby') put Israel ahead of the U.S. is not only absurd but also hardcore antisemitism.   According to the working definition of antisemitism of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance which has been adopted by numerous countries and organizations, examples of antisemitism include:  "Accusing Jewish citizens of being more loyal to Israel, or to the alleged priorities of Jews worldwide, than to the interests of their own nations."

Miriam Adelson and her late husband did contribute a combined total of roughly $400 million to the three Trump presidential campaigns in 2016, 2020 and 2024.  This is not out of line with donations made by other billionaires.  Elon Musk donated $277 million in 2024 alone.  Former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg gave about $100 million to Kamala Harris' campaign.  Whether such massive donations are good or bad is another question, but they are allowed by the U.S. political system.

Tommy Robinson is an avid supporter of Israel.

Fabulous. The USA will applaud.

I applaud the thought of the US out of the UN. I don't even particularly care whether it's the US being kicked out or withdrawing voluntarily. (I would say the idea of the UN kicking out its main funder is laughable, but then I remember that much of the world thinks money is free as long as it comes from someone else. Ironic, considering that the "someone else" was very often the USA.)

Bring it!

I'm still to get an answer as what so called '' freedom fighters'' kidnap women, babies, sic and old people, keep them

in tunnels, starve, torture and rape them, deny them medical care until they die and then burry them like discarded garbage?

Yes, I can grasp the essence of 'freedom fighters' meanings, but that doesn't give any of such 'fighters to become savage animals no matter what the cause is, and then go complain to the world that they are being  precisely what they were doing to 250 hostages, some, of whom were foreign field's workers, I mean' if this is isn't the supreme of human cruelty, than I don't know what is?

but I'm sure that some here have and will continue to Condon such acts, and I'm not surprised after reading these pages for the last 2 years concerning this topic.

This deflection, again.

Why do you say that? because you and no one else have a plausible reason why did it had to happened, yes we all have our differences that some of us be willing to die for, but we are also human beings, and what took place in them tunnels weren't human.

Even nowadays, where Hamas supposed to hand over the remains of the hostages who dies in their hands, even then, Hamas is giving back the wrong remains and playing games and tricks with handing back the remains as they have agreed,

and this sir, it's not 'deflection'.

What are you doing to defend the Christians being oppressed in Sudan ?

How's your moral duty getting on defending your own people ?
