Router Channels

Featured Replies

The Wi-Fi keeps dropping out in the company accomodation. I did a channel scan and this is the result? Congestion?

I think that type of graph is ill suited to your situation.  What software did you use?  What platform are you using to run the app?  You can probably find a more useful tool for this task.

This is a free app-WiFI Analayzer. The IT department seems to have already fixed the problem. I am not sure what they did but a new scan shows one of the routers is now broadcasting on channel 132.

Yes your app shows everybody sharing the same basic channel which is often the standard start point on a router - IE Channel 36 for 5GHz.

If the router has a channel setting for auto that should have solved it automatically. So either they set it to that or directly to 132.

Anyway glad it is solved for you

Our I.T. is useless. The access points are enterprise grade Grandstream models and should be set to Automatic, but they are not.
