Claim: Xi "dismantled" Trump on Thailand-Cambodia.
Reality: Xi praised the accord as a "positive step" crediting U.S. mediation (White House/Blue House readouts).Trump’s Win:

October 26 Kuala Lumpur Accord (his calls) — border demilitarized, 50k refugees home.

Xi conceded: 10% EV tariff cut, $2.5B soybean buys.

RawStory’s Spin: No quotes, no transcripts — just anonymous "diplomats." Bottom Line: Xi blinked. Trump delivered. RawStory lied.:whistling:

Mary Lovely, nonresident senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, said that the US 'blinked' as the Trump administration attempted to gain leverage in trade negotiations with China, leaving negotiators in a weak position. (Source: Bloomberg)

It's something I ask myself every time I read the news.

When do you reach the point of no return in a death by a thousand cuts?

How do you even know when you can't be bothered counting?

You might stop buying imported goods, and invest in the USA, by 'buying USA', supporting USA companies in the USA, and US citizen workers.

Some would say, myself including ... "you ARE the problem"

Tariffs are an attempt to solve that problem, but because of like minded people, like you, it will fail miserable, as nobody, you, and other US citizens care enough about the US economy, to support a plan that will work, but happy to complain about it.

Where were the complaints during Biden, and some of the highest inflation of any 4 yr administration, 20+%, if going by the COLAs on Soc Sec.

Context is important.Biden came into office  as the impact  of the Covid disruptions were still influencing the economy.  The economy was reopening during the Biden term. As businesses started operating and production came back, there was a pent up demand for everything which resulted in inflation. As the Biden term progressed, costs and inflation stabilized and started to reduce.

Many items grown or manufactured in the U.S. have ingredients and raw materials that are imported and subject to tariffs.  Same is true for most of the industrialized world.

So nobody among US citizens "care enough about the US economy, to support a plan that will work" but it's a good idea to implement it anyway?

Those can be minimized, especially when it comes to food.  Even when I left 25 yrs ago, there was plenty of local farmer's markets and chains were stocking local items also.  Some chain markets themed as healthier organic locally grown 'off the farm' product, along with mass produced & imports.

Manufacturing, not so much, and why the tariffs to begin with, to bring manufacturing back to the USA.

BUT ... as stated earlier, most won't help that process with buying USA, and just complain.

Turns out Xi already has — a diplomatic kick up the b***.

No threats, no self-praise — just Xi handing Trump the lesson he’s never learned: power doesn’t need volume.

You've been away too long.  Many American companies would love to source all of their raw materials from made-in-America suppliers, but there is a shortage or complete lack of availability.  Ramping up production is not like pressing a button.  Rules and req

You have been away too long.  Many made-in U.S. products are simply not available no mater the price.Much of the lumber used  for construction is from Canada.  Metal for corrugated roofing comes from Australia.

Organic farmers still have to buy supplies that are foreign made.  The list is endless.

Trump lied.

The claim that Trump "lied" about saving "millions of lives" is a classic gotcha — cherry-picking a rhetorical flourish while ignoring the escalation risks it averted. Yes, the July 2025 border clash killed ~48 (per Reuters/UN figures), but Trump's mediation (phone calls from Turnberry, July 28 truce) prevented a full-scale war that could have spiraled into hundreds of thousands dead and millions displaced. It's not a lie — it's diplomatic language for a real de-escalation that stabilized ASEAN and earned him a Nobel nod from Cambodia. Dismissing it as "Trump lied" is lazy partisanship, not analysis.

China CAUSED the border dispute. The scam call centres in Cambodia were all run by Chinese gangsters, mostly to target Chinese people. The Cambodian government was getting billions of dollars from their operation.

Interesting to see the same people who claim Trump is a dictator actually PRAISING Xi, an actual dictator. One who has actual concentration camps and is actually committing genocide.

Interesting first point. Can you supply anything to add that  actually has been offered as proof?

The second point is more maga nonsense from you.

What a devastating dressing down, Trump will never recover from this shocking humiliation.

He is hanging his head in shame as we speak, I suspect.
