The constant articles about the South, Pattaya and Phuket that keep appearing only make me feel so much happier that I live up North in the sticks. Never seen a drunken foreigner at any of my local stores, (unless I look in the mirror) But seriously, we really very rarely even see a foreigner out here let alone a drunk one. They are rarer than hen's teeth up here, thank God.

Yes, I agree. Enough is enough! 90% of Russians and Ukrainians in Pattaya and Phuket don't deserve to live in Thailand. They are mostly involved in various criminal activities. Please stop them from entering Thailand on Visa Free scheme. They must obtain a proper tourist visa before being able to enter Thailand.
