Malaysian made Nestle 3 n 1 is not as strong as the Thai stuff.

Thats all Im gonna be able to get though

Now we know.

Good I brew real coffee from Arabica beans😁

And "strength" is not my main criteria.

Here in Japan, apparently there is an ongoing coffee shortage. And  the prices has risen so bad that even restaurants have increased their prices. How are prices there in Thailand. I always bought coffee at 7-11 there in Sirisuk Village for 15 baht, now it was 17 baht.

As we know 3 in 1 is not coffee. It mostly consists of palm oil, sugar, chemicals and only a tiny quantity of spray or freeze dried coffee.

It's as much coffee as fresh brewed, diluted with sugar, cream/creamer & flavors.   At home it's fresh.  O&A, it's Americano (black) or Cappuccino, depending on mood.  From 7-11, it's 3/1, Moccona or Khao Shong Hazelnut Cappuccino

Ive ignored the coffee snobs because when I'm not lazy, cfresh ground custom blend in Phin or Press is my poison.

I always thought Mocona was bitter, thats my tongue though.

I know cafes that use straight Red Cup in their Iced Coffees.

I drink 8 oclock in the states

Now the coffee 'expert' 🙄, yea, I ignore them snobs, when I'm not being one.

Actually didn't drink much coffee, or any till around 38 yrs old, in USA, and mainly from 'fresh ground' coffee vending machine at work.  Usually arriving at 6 AM hung over, when not in a relationship :cheesy:

Caffeine kick was definitely needed.   Would buy Dunkin Donuts coffee in USA, IF, stopped to pick up a dozen on the way in.  DD's was best around, till I discovered Wawa Hazelnut flavored a few years later, 16oz for < $1 USD

Only coffee I drank in Udon Thani after a few year arriving was again DD, and she'd make it fresh for me, as usually a late afternoon beverage.

Not till moving to PKK did I really get into drinking coffee everyday, Moka Pot, broke a couple glass French Presses, to el' cheapo coffee (espresso) machine.   Now stick with French Press (stainless steel), as convenient for my morning 425ml of black coffee.  Precisionally weighed out, of course 🙄

Although, just had a double Moccona Espresso (3/1 Cappuccino) to wash down some cheesecake :cheesy:

Qwik Stop. 7-11 Circle K. Wawa. Buceess. Random Truck stops.

Rating: The old 4 potters best. Urns worst.

I prefer Tea (black fully oxidised English breakfast tea).

Me too, with sweet milk. PG Tipps or Yorkshore Gold in the USA. Causes kidney sstones though. O well, with an American breakfast of a cheese bacon broccoli and tomatoe omelet, cheese grits, t-bone, sauteed mushrooms and a cheese danish.

Problem i found with Tata Gold (maybe others too) is it deteriorates quickly, at first great, two weeks later, flavour down 50%, next time I'm buying smaller amounts, maybe 150g rather than 250g

Not a problem for me, a twist in the foil packet with an elastic band around the top and it lasts for years.

This time I'm being careful to keep it covered in the foil, could be the reason

No coffee lover will use so much creamer and sugar in a single cup like in a 1 in 3 packet. But of course, everyone to hir/hers liking.

Unless you drink it black (like I do 99% of the time), then there's plenty of milk, cream, creamer in most non black coffee.

I am also more of a pure coffee drinker, just a few drops of milk, no sugar. All these fancy drinks do not taste like coffee anymore.  Some of these choices are a glass of milk with addition of espresso. The purpose of a fresh brewed coffee is to really enjoy the coffee aroma, not the 90% milk.

Americowno?

What a thread! Hilarious people likening instant tat mixed with sugar and creamers to real filtered coffee, black no sugar. Guess I’m a coffee snob. But yes, prices are well up.

Yea ... there's filtered black coffee, then there's dessert coffees.

Although, the purest, would consider 'black' coffee, blasphemy also.   Nothing but watered down Espresso.

O' yea who cast the first stone ... :coffee1:

Born a Cis Espresso but out of the machine now baby, bi, trans, give me all the cream or water, even sugar when feeling the sweet tooth coming on.
