Whatever! The loaf of bread was just a sample of the extremely minor crimes they were charged with. Another example, stealing  a handkerchief, which was enough to send poms to the other side of the world so they could be used as slave labour to build the pommy settlement in the 19th century.

Wow. Sorry I don't share your sense of racist hostility, and I know for a fact that a lot of black people in the US are arrested unnecessarily, and profiled to a very large degree.
