Some of the replies seem to reek of envy, why wouldn't an older guy want to be with a younger woman if he could afford it, and if it was possible? 

 

I tried women my age back in the US, and for the most part I found them to be rigid, close-minded, way too opinionated, conventional, incredibly inflexible, and a lot less fun than younger women. Also quite a bit harder to look at.

When I was 52, had a 60 year old girlfriend.

Didn't cost me anything, and great roast dinners with her kids ever other Sunday.

Also I could attend official functions with her and attract no odd looks without losing votes.

It isn't all about sex ........ although I only went as far as holding hands with her.

Well that is certainly part of it, isn't it? Just the thought of having sex with a woman my age makes the hair on my arms stand up, and gives me quite a fright. No thanks.

 

Granted if I was living in America and was worth under $100 million I might not have a choice, but thankfully here I most certainly do!

If I was a good looking 20 year old female working in the rice fields l would head to the city and find me a RICH tourist too.

I found myself once on an NGO panel with the lube lady. She passes out lube at Nana Plaza, and other places On the theory that those women are too cheap to buy their own lube, and it represents a real health risk for the woman overtime due to wear and tear.

 

99% of your lube donation goes to lube. The idea that these charities that mainly deal with women’s reproductive health are scams to buy someone a truck seems to be completely groundless.

You find it difficult to engage with a strong, educated Western woman because you are entrenched in the very patriarchy that oppresses and undermines women. It’s time to challenge this mindset and recognize the strength and capabilities that empowered women bring to the table.

You presume a lot. I did not find it difficult to engage with smart Western women, I really like a smart Western woman, and was involved with several of them over the years. The issue for me was that the majority of them felt compelled to debate nearly every issue and though I do like an occasional debate, on a daily basis it becomes very tiresome, very boring, and strips the home environment of a sense of harmony and peace. I don't need every conversation to be a battle and many Western women feel that the need to compete.

From my point of view only, there are a dozen valid reasons not to date women my age, but it's entirely subjective and what works for me doesn't necessarily work for others. 

 

I could create a list but that's kind of boring, so why bother? 

 

The course the men who argue against this and are the most defensive are likely men that are with women their own age, and do not have the great fortune of having a younger woman like many of us do!

My woman is a lot younger than me, and quite pretty, and when we go back to the US I get all kinds of looks, typically looks of envy from the men, and nasty or disapproving looks from the women, as if to say what you're doing isn't right, what you're doing isn't fair, you should have been made to jump over far higher hurdles then you have.

 

And I got the same reaction when I was living on Samui from foreign tourists, it's a hoot. It's so much fun to see the women getting bent out of shape, and to see the looks on the faces of their men. It's almost as if they're saying "wow I'm with this one, and you're with her? Jeez". So much fun.

Mine is 20 years younger and what a find. I also have in our house a 13 year old former model, her step sister with an artist business at 22 and my stepsons gf 26 recently became a Mother.

All four woman are so supportive, I am so lucky.

Yes, I had similar experiences when we'd travel to (my) old home with my Thai wife and very young kids. One time (long ago, mind you), when she was around 32 or 33ish, we had just finished a dinner at a restaurant with some of my old friends and their wives/partners. As we were saying goodbye's on the street, and everyone was saying how good we looked - I said 'yeah, and look at her! (my wife). Three kids and she's as skinny and hot as she was when I met her!' - I shall never forget the look on the face of my friend's (tubby) wife when I said that. And off we went... Never saw that friend's wife again - despite further dinners through the years.

That was before I moved to Thailand and was being divorced in the UK.

I was seeing an ex-model (aged 60), a wealthy pub owner aged 40, and one of my son's trailer trash schoolmates aged 23.

All at the same time ........

The 60yo wanted to ..... but I thought we were just friends

The 40yo was frightened what other people would think.

The 23yo used to call around after dark, and stay until early morning.

 

Strange days when age appropriate was considered normal.

Meanwhile in Thailand, earlier today out with my daughter for her birthday age 27 and everyone assumed she was my lover ............ even though I'm nearly 70 ........
