And you think that your working conditions were worse than that of a grilled squid seller in Pattaya?

I notice you mentioned high school. Do you not maybe think that your school provided you at least some advantage in life? Who paid for that...? Other people's money.

Do you want to talk about career progression options or further education opportunities?  Whatever opportunities you had, you can be sure that they weren't available to the 99% of the people who grow up here in Thailand.

Saying "I earned my [excessive] money" [all by myself]" is ridiculous. I'm sure you made some very smart decisions. I'm sure you have worked hard in your life. I'm not debating that. But you did it off the back of a society funded mostly by poor people paying taxes (because we know for sure that the wealthy don't often pay then).

I'd rather be selling squid than some of the jobs I had, long hours or not.   You having no clue what I did and I wouldn't wish those jobs on anybody.

That free education prepared me to fill out a job application, that's about it and it wasn't free.  Or paid for by others.

I paid for it with real estate taxes most of which was school tax.   How's $2,000+  a year for about 20 years.  And the piss poor return of that.

That's just my primary residence, as the other houses I paid school taxes on also.

Top 10% er of income earner pay way more than our share of taxes.

Don't know what that has to do with OP, or any comparison of myself and someone committing suicide for whatever reason, which is speculative, by all the AN experts, unless he left a note, let alone taking others with them.

And that was my chuckle because you really haven't got a clue about me.

He probably wanted them with him in the afterlife where he assumed that there, ''existence,'' will be much easier than this

current miserable life.

Maybe because he and the family had no money left and were about to lose everything

Sadly there are many many families with huge debts and cannot find a way out of it in the end most turn to loan sharks it was only last week that a Thai individual who I barely know told me they had 48 hours to find 4,000 baht could I help I told them that I was not in the position to help

Same here.

A neighbour came round last week to desperately try and sell us 5 rai immediately. She was being followed by a dodgy looking loan shark on a motorbike who waited outside and then followed her home again.

The amount of debt to loan sharks in Thailand is insane.

Did you take advantage of the opportunity?

No, we already bought 12 rai off her last month and this extra 5 rai wasn't directly connected to our land so I wasn't interested.

Plus buying the 12 rai was an absolute nightmare because it was tied up in other debts and legal proceedings. No desire to go through all that again. I can't even imagine how stressful it is for her, I feel bad for her seeing as it was her stupid, arrogant husband that got them into the whole mess.

You want to leave this planet then do it but to take the lives of others is despicable. Mental sickness or not you will rot in hell for taking the lives of others with you.

Very big chance these poor people did not believe in your bible and you seem to know very little about mental health issues.

You paid $2000 a year for your education? I'm not sure that was a possibility for the subject of the OP.

Are you seriously suggesting that killing his family was excusable because of his mental state ?

No

Lucky them, as it was wasted money for me.

Nothing my parents couldn't teach me, the 3 Rs.   The rest, I think I picked up in the library reading the encyclopedia, from A to Z, in my free class time, that's how boring school was ... after scanning the monthly Nat. Geographics, you know, for the articles :cheesy:

Beliefs in fairytales are such vices, sadly.

A more proactive and reasonable response would be to stand up to the injustices dished out on the regular by the filthy Elites.

The United States did not get their 8 hour work day /  5 day work weeks by being placid.
