Can you provide a link of any other nationality in Thailand this year “forgetting” they had packed ammunition in the holiday bag?

Very interesting defence. It “happens all the time”

You are throwing every lie and fabrication that you can in the hopes that it will stick, and yet, you  ignore the very significant presence of the  Chinese crimes.  Try again Comrade.

The cyber crimes by the Chinese in Thailand are well reported on by the Thai media.

Are you trying to claim the farang managed and owned Aseannow is trying to bury these stories?

Here are some of the reports on Chinese cyber criminals in Thailand from the last few days.

I haven’t seen any Israeli stories from this week.

You are just making stuff up or you are very naive which is making you paranoid.

Obviously these Chinese are not here on holiday, not tourists.

Most of the Israeli stuff is tourists behaving abhorrently and a completely different subject.

Nobody is calling for Chinese tourists to be banned from their restaurants or the entire country.

I think you know the difference but are just trying to deflect from the Israeli crime wave.

Two wrongs don’t make a right.

One incident with a magazine and you wish to  convince everyone that it was a weapons offence and  some sort of conspiracy. This was a one off incident.  In some countries, ammunition and even weapons are found in airline passenger luggage. And yes, it happens in Thailand with Thais. it also has happened with other foreigners in Thailand and also involving the Koh Samui airport.

Did you make a fuss when the Australian was found with 96  bullets and a disassembled  firearm?

An Australian man arrested with a gun and 96 cartridges in his bag at Samui airport told police he bought the firearm for self-defence from a Thai on Koh Samui. Police had not found any evidence that the suspect would use the weapon to commit a crime, nor was he a criminal or mafia figure, police said. https://www.bangkokpost.com/learning/easy/2467397/australian-arrested-with-gun-in-bag-at-samui-airport

You assume all Thais share your disgusting prejudice? They don't.There is a long history of friendship between Israel and Thailand, and Jews have lived happily and peacefully in Thailand. There are examples of bad behavior of course and this is not to be condoned. But it's far from clear that some Israelis are alone  in bad behaving foreigners.

Just ban Visa exempt travel for all nations. Visas should require criminal background checks. Then you just have the harmless rowdies,  exhibitionists,  drunks and druggies.  The violent thugs, thieves and frauds likely have long criminal records. Should never be allowed in the Kingdom to begin with

The topic of this thread is a discussion on criminal statistics. Slurs against nations, or singling out nationals of nations for mocking and ridicule is contrary to polite discourse and is against our forum rules. It is highly impolite and unfair to insult the places from where our fellow members families originate, and towards where our fellow members naturally feel love and patriotic loyalty.

Given that this forum is awash with reports of long waits for visas from a system which is already overloaded, and the sort of background checks which you advocate would hugely increase that load on the visa considering and issuing system, your proposal would very likely end the tourist (and international air traffic) industries for Thailand in one fell swoop!

Yes, last time I started a thread about Israeli criminals I won Poster of the Day again.

A missed opportunity that’s for sure.

I dont wear knickers in Thailand.

I go full commando.

I find it much more comfortable in the bars when you buy a lady a drink and they go for the fondle.

Oops Malcy...

USA alone -Firearms found in carry-on luggage

In 2023, TSA intercepted 6,737 firearms at airport security checkpoints.

In 2024, that number was 6,678.

That’s roughly 18 firearms per day in 2023.

In 2024, over 93-94% of those firearms were loaded.

Nope - the stats speak for themselves - the most foreign criminals in Thailand are the Chinese.

Thats not surprising really given the size of China and amount of visitors to Thailand, also its proximity to Thailand.

It also stands for reason that a majority of foreign criminals are also from Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos.

Then of course - those from Western nations whose arrivals are highest.

No agenda...   he just quoted facts.

Oh... So now you want it 'only' in Thailand because over 6000 people getting caught yearly with ammunition or weapons in their luggage in the USA does not fit your anti-Israeli agenda...

Turkish Tourist – Single Bullet Found

On 3 February 2025, a Turkish tourist (29 years old) was arrested at Phuket Airport after security discovered a single 5.56 mm M193 live bullet in his luggage.

He was charged with possession of ammunition without a permit, which is illegal in Thailand. Phuket News

Australian Tourist – Explosives / Mortar Rounds

On 6 May 2025, at Phuket International Airport, a foreign tourist (61-year-old Australian) was flagged because his oversized baggage looked suspicious.

When inspected, the suitcase contained: an 81 mm mortar round, a 60 mm mortar round, a suspected mine, and some semi-circular explosive components.

The EOD (explosive ordnance disposal) team was called, and they secured the items.

The tourist claimed they were “souvenirs” but did not clearly explain where he got them.

Had they been Israeli you would have flood the forum with comments about these events - but, alas, they were not so they don't fall into your anti-Israeli echo-chamber.

& other stories:

2022: Israeli man arrested at Phuket Airport with 55 rounds of 5.56 mm bullets in his luggage.

2022: Australian tourist held on Ko Samui (before a flight) with a handgun and 96 rounds of ammunition in checked baggage.

2024: 82-year-old Swiss man arrested at Phuket Airport with a 6.35 calibre ASTRA handgun in his suitcase.

And you have been provided with examples of others this year, and previous years - and of course ignored them !

Its the same number of Australians as Israelis who have been caught in Thailand making the same mistakes.

Its a common event 'globally' as proven - and localised information shows Australians made the same mistake - but you still want to focus 'only' on Israelis because of your agenda.

What next - narrow it down more specifically to fit into your confirmation bias ???...

.... 'how many people with black hair wearing elephant pants got caught carrying weapons through Phuket Airport in the afternoons ?'  :whistling:

This thread has degenerated into bashing a single nationality, which is in violation of Rule 15. In the interests of our nice members who may hold the nationality in question.....
