Why did she need to apologise ??

 

36,000 baht / $1110 for what seems might have been relatively simple treatment seems excessive. 

 

Even with the excuse that the bill was for 2x people - thats US$550 each...    it still seems very excessive.

 

It would be interesting to see a breakdown of these charges because this does look like over-charging on the surface.

What insurance covers hospital treatment for drug use?

Why didn't she produce the hospital bill?

That would have given credence to her claim ..... or not.

I doubt travel insurance covers drugs, even mild ones ? 
Anyhow, their own fault, 2 of them, should have used their brain. 
Maybe the doctors checked their heart etc , maybe they stayed a few hours taking up a bed , a drip takes a while.
