A couple of married friends recently had a week in hospital, he had Influenza A and she had bronchitis...

both normally healthy but got hit by something.

Poverty, bad living conditions, unhealthy foods, lack of health care ,all help these illness to proliferate. Just take the big cities starting with Bangkok and the lack of hygiene + healthy living in all the slum locations. These people travel on buses and generally work in low paying jobs , building construction, shops, food stalls ,shops ,taxis etc. Very contagious, kids in school. 

vaccins against flu help. Flu can be very debilitating, I’ve had it, and was really bad. It’s all over Europe at the moment. Vaccine is easy. 
As for diarrhea, that’s easy to understand in a country where no one cares about the contents of/ quality of the food they’re eating, like those open air sushi stands where you serve yourself and everyone coughing sneezing and touching them, Ugh.

Intelligent and educated and knowledgeable people  like here in UK & Europe  get a Flu jab and over 70s a Covid jab. The point is if you are medically vulnerable , over weight etc or elderly you are likely if  unlucky to suffer from lung issues, you can deteriorate quickly and go down hill quick. Moreover if you're in a local hospital in a rural area its likely you would not get high medical expertise, resources etc  Not having a vaccine in 2025 is so medieval.

Can't believe there are anti vaxers here. Imagine your in a rural area you get Flu or Covid, you're a senior, you're lungs are seriously affected, you're gasping. Have they got good well experienced medics, have they got ventilators, good scanners? In  these smaller hospitals?  Elderly are vulnerable thats why better off nations give vaccinations.

I got the flu shot in August in the US, think I’ll get another one in Thailand, get one every year, maybe two, haven’t had the flu in 20 years or so.  Flu shot doesn’t ‘give you the flu’  weakened immune systems make you susceptible to influenze…….eat and live healthier and you won’t get it, shot or not.     Peace

It’s easy to tell the uneducated by their comments on viruses. So much passion for something that, according to themselves , has zero effect on them. 
Don’t want to get the seasonal flu shot? Don’t get one. Simple. Vaccinated strangers pose zero threat to you.
