Setting up Kbank App and Krungsri App on a new Andriod phone

Featured Replies

Is it possible to set up the Kbank App and Krundsri App on a new Andriod phone and activate your banking WITHOUT having to go into a branch getting the staff to set it up for you? If so, how do you do this all by yourself?

For Krungsri I just found this:

https://www.krungsri.com/en/personal/digital-banking/krungsri-app/user-manual/settings/change-device

Did a short browse and good luck 😁 Two basic facts:

Old phone with still working app needed to "unregister".

Mobile Internet connection on both phones needed. Does not work on WiFi.

Account number and password (not PIN) needed for first login on new device.

No face scan involved?

Krungsri has.

Not when I did it, although I see it is needed now.  My face-scan works fine though so don't see why it would be an issue.

Kasikorn should be no problem if in Thailand, Krungsri problem, you'll need to go to branch

Krungsri never gave me a password when I opened an account with them. Anyone know how can I get the password or reset the password?

So with Krungsri you can only do it if you go into a branch and get them to do it for you?

And what's with the banking apps requiring you to disconnect Wifi and only use the mobile data internet connection?

Kasikorn no problem, Krungsri I had to go to the branch.

Yes you need to use mobile data to set up as they have to verify you use same SIM s with initial set up.

Yes, but no harm in trying installing yourself first and if it fails go to branch, they may have enhanced the app

Tried it now, doesn't work. Says that I don't have facial scan done so I've gotta go to Kbank to get a facial scan done within the next 15 days.
