Service for checking my friend's status re blacklist etc

Featured Replies

A friend of mine left Thailand a few years ago, but apparently had some issues before leaving. He'd like to come back again for a visit, but he's concerned about what might happen when his passport is scanned at immigration, if he might be declined entry or even worse.

Is there a service that he could use to find this out?

If your friend actually posted himself then he could explain the "some issues"

Your OP is too vague.

Doesn't sound like simple overstay.

For a blacklist check, your friend could contact a visa agent that offers airport safe entry services, as they will have immigration contacts to screen applicants.

From the sound of your post though ("or even worse"), the real concern seems to be whether there's an outstanding arrest warrant.

If anyone knows of a good visa agent, I'll point my friend in their direction. He's probably worried about nothing, but you never know.

The safest way is to have a Thai lawyer run a background-status request directly through Immigration HQ — lawyers can file an official inquiry with the Bureau, and Immigration will confirm any blacklist, ban period, or outstanding flag long before you travel.

Other options are less reliable: applying online for an e-Visa may detect a ban but isn’t guaranteed, and getting a new passport only helps in very narrow cases depending on how the original issue was recorded.

what was the issue your friend had, if you would post that you would get some good answers

Your friend. Sure it is. Tell us what you did that makes you fear returning, you new member with 2 posts.

Is it blacklist or outstanding arrest warrant, or both that he’s worried about?
