Businessman Rikki Agarwal, co-Founder and Chief Business Officer of Blink Digital, announced on 22 November 2025, he has relocated from Mumbai to Bangkok, citing a desire for a healthier, simpler lifestyle. He emphasised that the move was not driven by tax incentives or career shifts, but by the pursuit of improved well-being and quality of life.

Agarwal reflected on his journey from growing up in Sikkim to building a career and company in Mumbai. While acknowledging Mumbai’s opportunities, he stated that “India has everything I need to build a business. Nothing I need to live well.” His routine in Bangkok remains largely unchanged, encompassing gym, work, and home, but the surrounding environment offers cleaner air, fresher food, better sleep and more reliable infrastructure.

He explained that the decision allows him to live in a place that “doesn’t punish me for wanting a healthy, simple life.” Agarwal stressed that he is not leaving India behind, but choosing a location that supports both personal and professional growth without constant environmental or infrastructural challenges.

The announcement has resonated with many online. Users on LinkedIn shared similar frustrations with air quality and infrastructure in India, expressing understanding and admiration for Agarwal’s clarity. Others noted Bangkok’s lifestyle appeal, highlighting the alignment of time zones and the city’s conducive environment for well-being.

Agarwal intends to maintain his professional commitments while enjoying the benefits of Bangkok’s livability. His experience has sparked broader conversations on lifestyle-driven relocation, especially among professionals seeking balance between career ambition and personal health.

He is diplomatically silent on the enormous cultural problems of living a simple life in India. The most obvious one is the Izzat culture, which promotes clanism and corruption that makes Thai corruption look like baby games.

In Thailand, police officer might be reluctant to do work because not doing work is easier, but in India, a police officer regards doing his work as undignified, as below him, since it places him in the servile position.

Well if he is moving from Mumbai to Bangkok because of the pollution in Mumbai

On what basis? He would need to register his business in Thailand then employ Thai's and pay taxes.

I just looked him up and oh my. What a mess. what even is it? i can't make sense of what this "business" even is.

I'm gonna say this is some scam in order to acquire a DTV.

They seem pretty legit to me.

Blink Digital is a full-service independent digital agency headquartered in Mumbai, India.

Legally, the company registered as Blink Digital (India) Private Limited — incorporated on 31 January 2014.

Their services include:  Digital marketing and advertising — handling campaigns across social media, digital media, creative content, brand promotion.
Creative strategy, media planning, maybe influencer marketing / media-agency style services.

They claim to cater to a wide range of clients, from big consumer brands to media/entertainment firms.

Past or current clients reportedly include big names like KFC, Vh1, ITC, Star Sports, Conde Nast, Moet Hennessy, Viber, and Puma (among others).

As per a profile on an agency-listing platform, Blink Digital employs on the order of ~148 people.

In 2025, Blink Digital reportedly won four awards at The Work 2025 (organized by Campaign Brief), for campaigns like one for Amazon Prime (the “Incognito Photobomber” campaign) and another for KFC India — showing that the agency continues to deliver recognized, high-impact work.

Oh they won awards? Ok then I stand corrected I guess it is a real company. Man that style of web page is horrible though. Looks like so much of the spam crap cluttering the internet.

I'm guessing he just bought an elite visa is working remote. Fair play to him, India looks horrible across the board so I don't blame the guy.
