A tourist from the United Arab Emirates was killed and three others were injured after four motorcycles crashed in Phang Nga province. The collision occurred on the evening of December 12, 2025 and involved four UAE nationals travelling together on a major highway. Emergency services responded, but one of the injured riders later died in hospital.

The collision happened shortly after 18:00 on Phetkasem Road in Takua Thung district, on the southbound lanes heading towards Phuket. Police said the crash took place near the Wandee Lan Palm area in Krasom subdistrict, a stretch of road frequently used by tourists travelling between Phang Nga and Phuket. Traffic was disrupted while rescue workers and police attended the scene.

When officers arrived, they found four motorcycles scattered across the roadway, indicating a simultaneous crash involving all riders. All four men were injured and received first aid at the scene before being transported to hospital by rescue workers. The riders were confirmed to be nationals of the United Arab Emirates.

Police identified the motorcycles as Yamaha XMAX models, each bearing Phuket licence plates. The vehicles were reported to be black, red, white and grey in colour. Authorities did not immediately provide details on whether other vehicles were involved or if road conditions contributed to the crash.

Hospital officials later identified the riders as Mohamed Abdulla, aged 33; Humaid Ali Juma, aged 27; Saud Abdelaziz, aged 25; and Butti Rashid, aged 33. Saud Abdelaziz later died from his injuries despite medical treatment. The other three riders were reported to be injured, though the extent of their injuries was not disclosed.

Police said the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates has been formally notified of the incident and the death of one of its nationals. Investigators stated that they are awaiting the recovery of the surviving riders before conducting detailed interviews. This is to ensure they are medically fit to provide statements about the circumstances leading up to the crash.

Khoasod reported that authorities have not yet determined the cause of the accident. Police said the investigation will focus on the sequence of events, road conditions, and any other contributing factors once witness accounts can be obtained. Further updates are expected as the inquiry progresses.

Motor bike incidents are a big money 💰 earner for Thailand

The guys who rent  them out the insurance people then finally the hospitals 🏥

Thailand must have one of  the worst accident rates in the World with

Midd eastern idiots on 750 cc scooters, riding like a pack of schoolgirls, what could possibly go wrong???

These camel riders have been causing havoc in Phuket for years. I’ve been riding big motorcycles myself for decades, and when I see these lads tearing around Phuket, I reckon they’ve got one big wish—to join the seven virgins. Well, that wish has now been fulfilled for one of them. More will surely follow.

It’s time plod deal with idiots. Every year the same thing happens. They rent motorcycles tear ass about and think they can pay off for whatever they do because of their wealth. So give them big fines and deport the a$$holes back home and ban them from re-entry.

The Xmax is not a 750cc scooter.
