Did Obama make America worse on purpose, or was he just low IQ?

Typical leftie reply.   Blame the Republicans for the failure of the ACA.  Anyway, why does someone need Medicaid when they get an ACA policy?

What?  Why is noting that in every red state that got to vote on a binding referendum for the extension of Medicaid, the referendum passed? How is that blaming the Republicans? Blaming the Republican establishment for it's failure to quell popular support for the ACA?

And if it's such a failure, why is it so popular?

If you fall below a certain income level then you're eligible for Medicaid instead of private insurance

Trump makes Obama look like a genius.

  • No mystery there. Look at his background and the people who raised him. He's an apple that didn't fall far from the tree.

  • I listened to his speech to the British Houses of Parliament in Westminster Hall during his State Visit to the UK in May 2011.   He was witty, generous, and complimentary. He was also obviou

He was a con artist masquerading as a president.

He had no qualifications for the job.

Without the influential moneymen who backed him, he would have remained a community organizer on the South Side with a few side hustles.

Nothing more than that.

"Community Organizer".

What a joke.

If that qualifies someone to be President of the United States, then I'll be the Negus of Kirinyaga.

Why the thumbs down emoji? The US has been te most expensve country in the world for health care for many many years becaus the health insurance companies had years earlier gained a strangle hold on this item because of lobbying by the healrh companies. Obama tried but the GOP made sure it created giant road blocks to Obama gaining much ground.

Yes some third world countries do have much better policies / benefits re national health care but they haven't allowed the health insurance companies to gain control of this subject /  industry.

What IQ do you think Trump has? He's at the level of retard ... :cheesy:

What are you on about? Obamacare on a total cost per capita basis actually actually comes to slightly less than the total cost of insurance offered by employers.

MY ACA plan is a bargain at $1200/month.

Joe Biden at 14th is a joke.   Jimmy Carter at 22?    That's not a great list.

The hate for a guy who was the opposite of trump, complete opposite. Educated, well spoken, a true statesman and with a great family and also a popular 1. lady. I would say he was an great example of a great president.

Trump scored 820 on his SATs. That's only 20 points more than I scored on just the math. His score equates to an IQ around 88-93, which is well below average.

You're a self-proclaimed progressive.   And claiming SAT scores correlate with IQ is not a progressive viewpoint.

And you're also conveniently ignoring the fact that many of the regulatory restrictions put in place under the Obama administration to shore up the stability of the banking sector were later rolled back under Trump I and further weakening of these regulations are currently under consideration under Trump II. And if you're so concerned about the stability of the US financial system, why are you not appalled by Trump's free-for-all hands-off approach to crypto regulation, which is essentially a bet against the US dollar. And we won't even get into all of the corruption and self-dealing going on with the Trump family in the crypto sphere.

Are you talking about the Dodd-Frank Act?

As a non American, non partisan Dem or Republican, Id have to say Republicans seem to be mostly absolute morons, devoid of any critical thinking skills, as well as just downright dishonest about the facts. No wonder they allowed scum like the current president to get power. Who in their right mind would put an idiot, liar like trump over President Obama?

Yeah, the Democrats are so F-ing smart that they ruin everything they touch these days.

Clinton lucked into the first tech boom. As for economic policy his looked much like Trump's save for NAFTA. First few years were stumbling.

A dunce billionaire...there you sit in your underwear banging on about nothing

Obama is a traitor and swamp monster. Trump won't jail him out of the precedent it would set - but he might see charges/ hearings.

I shed crocodile tears over the debt and I don't support such cuts.

Ironic, your stupid picture of that reptile. Soros corporations are some of the biggest beneficiaries of such cuts. Then again,  Open Foundation received so much USAID CIA money they're swimming in it.

8 hours ago, Alan Zweibel said:

The most significant driver of the debt is the constant increase in spending.   Currently, the expenditure is at 23% of the GDP.    The most significant contributor to the debt is the social program, which keeps growing.   What's pathetic is knowing that the Dems want to extend the temporary ACA subsidies.

https://reason.com/2024/07/13/the-debt-lies-we-tell-ourselves/

The driver of this debt is no mystery. The combination of rising health care costs and 74 million retiring baby boomers is driving annual Social Security and Medicare costs far above their payroll tax and Medicare premium revenues. These annual program shortfalls—which must be funded with general tax revenues and new borrowing—will exceed $650 billion this year on their way to $2.2 trillion annually a decade from now, when including the interest costs of their deficits. Specifically, by 2034 Social Security and Medicare will be collecting $2.6 trillion annually in revenues while costing $4.8 trillion in benefits and associated interest costs

And that's just the beginning. Over 30 years, CBO data show Social Security and Medicare facing an annual shortfall of $124 trillion while the rest of the budget is roughly balanced. By 2054, these two programs will be contributing 11.3 percent of GDP to annual budget deficits, or the current equivalent of $3.2 trillion in annual program shortfalls (including the interest costs of their deficits). As for the rest of the budget, CBO projects that tax revenues will continue to rise, and other program spending to fall, as a share of the economy. This means the entire long-term deficit growth is driven by Social Security, Medicare, and the interest cost of their shortfalls.

The clues to the mystery of "why the hate" are readily apparent in many posts.

The code words that today's racist uses: "low IQ", and "DEI", since they can't use the N word anymore.

I think the correct word is "worsify" or "embadden".
