I have missed other things that have soared in the past so I may just miss the boat. Do you have investments in European weapons? I would be interesting in hearing more. I have more or less been out of the stock marked since the fall of 2006, just my pension fund left, so I had to look in to the possibilities again. But if the tariffs in Us will be long lasting and predictable, they can turn out as gold, but Weapon production in Europe will be flourishing, and we already see many scammers trying to flourishing with pump and dump, so if I go in, it will be well established priducers

December 22, 2025Dec 22 2 minutes ago, Nick Carter icp said: Could be because they met you ? Are you happy? Dont think so Research indicates that while wealth can improve quality of life and reduce stress, it does not guarantee happiness, and many wealthy individuals report feelings of dissatisfaction or misery. Studies show that beyond a certain income threshold—around $75,000 in the U.S.—additional earnings do not significantly increase daily emotional well-being, though they may improve life evaluations. The pursuit of wealth often leads to isolation, reduced generosity, and heightened social comparison, which can erode happiness. Furthermore, the constant need to outperform peers or maintain status can create an unending cycle of striving, leaving even the ultra-rich feeling unfulfilled

Yonks ago I was a $ millionaire (check Google info about me). But you can't take that money with you when you die, In 25 years of living in south-east Asia, I have never had more than $10k in the bank and I've managed well enough thanks!

Gave up trying to be Rich many years back, I now live a comfortable & happy retirement whilst my friends (who are older than me) continue on their quest to become even richer. Have to say I do like my mates new BMW X7, but seeing as I haven't needed to drive for 15 years, I don't think it would of much use to me.

Help others when one can. Don't become enmeshed in materialistic pursuits. Focus on something purposeful, guided by....just what you stated in your original comment. (But, do so ONLY if you wish to be happy.)
December 22, 2025Dec 22 Health is Wealth ............ just ask Warren Buffett . (also, having double consenants in ones name is said to insure great returns ) . Rummakk Warren Buffett is famously known for his unconventional, "eat like a 6-year-old" lifestyle, and he explicitly avoids most modern wellness trends. Diet: His diet is heavy on fast food, including McDonald's for breakfast, Dairy Queen treats, and about five cans of Coca-Cola daily.

January 10Jan 10 I just saw a guy on Youtube who says he bought a condo in Bangkok that he rents out.I think he only paid 50,000 USD for it.It must be an old building and very tiny condo. But he uses it as a rental property.I didn't realize you could buy a condo so cheaply in Bangkok. I thought real estate was exorbitant there.

The average return is probably around 5% per year. The main problem is long periods looking for new renters. While this is a return on investment I personally would invest that amount in some listed property funds or some dividend stocks to even get a better return on capital. I am aware that this alternative is not for everyone.
