Ladyboys Arrested for Pickpocketing Israeli Tourist

That and there are more and better pickpockets in Italy and Spain.

Pretty good ones in Athens in Greece too. India is something else though.

You literally have to sleep with luggage in bed with you and chain your bag/backpack/suitcase to your bunk rail on long distance train overnight trips AND put a padlock on every zip.

I once in Rajasthan had my hiking books tied firmly with many knots to the outside of my pack. Only just avoided losing them whilst walking along. They were so good. They'd managed to undo nearly every knot without me feeling a thing, on the move. One slight tug alerted me and I turned just in time. Amazing dexterity.

Now anticipating posts blaming the Israeli guy for being robbed because

you know.

Not blaming the Israeli guys... but all this time I thought they were super smart... but the LB got them.

They need culling. Should be easy enough as they lurk at the same, well known locations such as near ATM. Their goose-like honking makes them even easier to pick out from the herd.

You mean the Israelis ?

What? 12,000 baht was stolen. Our meal for 2 last night was last night 7500 baht, including a bottle of wine. A visit to a decent evening venue will easily cost 5,000 baht for a few drinks and gratuities for serving staff. The families visiting from  Sweden and Norway easily drop 12-20,000 baht on a basic steak and seafood dinner. A  shopping excursion to Robinsons  is easily 10,000 baht. A room at a decent hotel like the Pattaya Hilton is 10,000 baht+

Yea Yea Yea... and in the meantime we hear about 20 baht over pricing so often.

Not sure that's a trophy cup any country with a strong tourism economy wants to win! "OUR pickpockets are the best. Come to ******* and be robbed with style and dexterity. Been disappointed with clumsy and unprofessional theft? Have no fear. ****** welcomes our beloved visitors and respects their right to be relieved of uncomfortable amounts of money gracefully."

I guess this one was a draw. Israeli - 0 / LB - 0. Might have got a kiss and a fondle though? So maybe the Israeli is one up.

The pickpockets are mostly Gypsies in those two countries.

Not much in the way of local talent.

Diversity has made them stronger.

Interesting point and you are absolutely right. I'm not sure if there's been a clampdown in Greece.

I have a house on an island and live there part the year.

We've seen a complete dearth of the gypsies pretty much since covid. They don't steal on our Island because they know they'd get sharp shrift. Greek island people dish out their own law frankly.

We all miss them a bit because they came round selling nice baskets they make, and earthenware pots, strings of garlic, plants etc.

Big cities like Athens they're busy in less attractive ways though. The god awful racket when they come through the Athens metro carriages with a squeezebox is still going strong.

I'd happily pay them to stop.

Any Jew will tell you that not all Jews are smart.

I guess you think all black people are good at basketball.

😴 Give it a rest.

Let’s hope they’re given the max sentence 5y and taken off the streets. Nothing against ladyboys in general (each to their own) but the scum that washes up in Pattaya to prey on visitors need culling… right up there with bothersome macaques and bitey dogs.

I doubt it. Seems all too often we see the same overly caked up  face back out there soon after.

My point was that he did not have much money at the kiosk. He was accused of cruising because he  was exchanging 12,000 baht.

That the Jewish people are not indigenous to the land of Israel.
