For placing a picture from my phone in AN, it appears with black stripes above and below the picture and is difficult to see by other forum peoples.

 

How can I sexy up (make decent so no one complains) my pictures when I add the image to AN forum?

 

Phone is a Samsung.

 

Should have editing app, just download, open, edit, upload.  Direct from Samsung phone, although I usually do it via laptop.  Vid below shows direct from phone.

 

Vid was 'screen recorder' to Google drive, to YT, then posted YT link, as quality better, than direct upload, if direct upload even works (it didn't) and rarely does, unless very short vid.

 

 

 

 

 

I have no experience in phone media manipulation but will have a guess.

You are taking phone screen shots of your phone camera pictures and not sending the original.

You are taking screen shots of social media posts and not zooming before taking the screen shot.

You are not cropping out black areas before posting social media screen shots.

I didn't know there were editors for phones.

Living in the past. Didn't even think of it.

Well ADHD does last into your 80s.

Android has an editor in Gallary, where I store my pics.

Pretty simple even I can use it (nearly).
