A security guard was found stabbed to death inside a guard booth at a well-known energy drink company in Bangkok on the morning of 31 December 2025, prompting an urgent police investigation. The body was discovered by a colleague arriving to take over the next shift, who was shocked to find the victim unresponsive and covered with a raincoat. The incident has raised concerns about safety at the site as officers work to establish the reasons behind the death.

Police from Hua Mak Police Station were alerted at 6.18am on 31 December to reports of a fatal stabbing at Gate 5 of a major company located in Soi Ramkhamhaeng 26, Hua Mak sub-district, Bang Kapi district, Bangkok. Officers and rescue workers attended the scene and found the deceased lying inside the security guard booth near the company entrance. The victim was later identified as Mr Tan Chaimatchim, aged 51.

According to initial findings, Mr Tan was not wearing shoes and had an orange raincoat placed over his body. Bloodstains were visible in the immediate area, indicating that the attack occurred at or near the booth. The position of the body suggested the incident happened while the victim was on duty guarding the premises.

A colleague who was scheduled to relieve Mr Tan told police that he arrived for work and saw the raincoat covering the body. Believing his co-worker to be resting, he lifted the raincoat and discovered that Mr Tan had already died, after which he informed the head of security. Emergency responders later confirmed that the victim was deceased at the scene.

Medical examination by rescue personnel found multiple stab wounds to the chest and abdomen. Officers subsequently notified forensic specialists and relevant investigative units to conduct a detailed examination of the scene.

Police have not yet released information about suspects or motives. Investigators are reviewing evidence from the area and questioning colleagues and other relevant individuals to reconstruct events leading up to the killing. Further forensic analysis and review of CCTV, is expected to assist in determining the timeline and circumstances of the attack.

Matichon reported that authorities stated that the investigation is ongoing and that updates will be provided as more information becomes available. The body was sent for further examination as part of standard legal procedures.
