Accessibility features and viewing controls

Recent platform updates mean some visual settings now rely on your browser or device, not the forum itself. If you’re having issues with brightness, contrast, text size, or readability, you already have tools to fix this.

All modern browsers on Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS include built-in accessibility features you can adjust yourself.

What you can change

Text size and zoom

Contrast and colour filters

Dark mode / light mode

Reduce glare and brightness

Reading and display aids

Where to find them

Chrome / Edge / Safari:

Settings → Accessibility

Android:

Settings → Accessibility → Display

iPhone / iPad:

Settings → Accessibility → Display & Text Size

These controls work across all websites, not just this forum, and give you more flexibility than forum-level settings ever could.

Important

This isn’t a forum bug.

Nothing is “broken”.

The controls have simply moved to where they’re better supported: your device and browser.

If you’re struggling to find the right setting, say what device and browser you’re using and we’ll help to point you in the right direction.

Does your dark mode work with the same browser on other websites?

Good point. Thks for the reply. It only works on dark mode in Apps. And search function for any site, produces a list of sites in dark mode.

But opening any site does not provide dark mode.

Correction. Found force dark mode for websites in settings. Just a senior moment. Learn something new every day😀

Thank you again.

I have 16 year old grand-daughter who fixes all my mobile issues. PC I can handle, but mobile stuff is just a black-art whistling

🤣👍

Have I had a post hidden on this thread?

I'm sure I replied but nothing showing up and no mention of it as I've seen elsewhere when posts are removed from view.
