I've started watching all the old "Twilight Zone" programs, I want to see if there are any that I have not seen.

I get these pop up on one of the freeview channels when I am in the UK. I remember one from when I was much younger when some gremlin appeared on an aeroplane wing. Scared the $h!t out of me and as I have to do regular back and forth between UK and Thailand it's not at the top of my watch list!

Only thing I can compare it to UK wise was probably 'Tales of the Unexpected' which run throughout the 80's.

I always liked the show, so I bit the bullet and paid Amazon US$34.99 for 156 episodes, because I wanted to watch them all, and in order, commercial free. It is amazing how many actors and actresses I recognize.

Season 2 first episode dropping now.

Sugar is a contemporary noir drama following an enigmatic Los Angeles private detective known for his sharp instincts and deep love of classic cinema. As he takes on complex cases across the city, his work is shaped by personal struggles with personal demons and a ongoing search for his missing sister.

Thanks for the heads-up about season 2 availability @gargamon . I enjoyed watching season 1. I normally watch anything with Colin Farrell in the cast.

I came to say, Sugar appeared overnight

Some other returns - Cangaço Novo or New Bandits, I think it's a Mexican show that has been mentioned in the past. Season 01 was worth a look.

And a full season (05) of Arctic Circle or Ivalo just appeared with English subs.

@recom273 thanks for the heads-up about the availability of season 5 of Ivalo. Ivalo is well worth a watch IMHO.

How fast does that go..?....It goes very fast.!!

Probably my favourite clip on YT, not least for the increase in engine tempo @2.45m....

Whilst I'm on the thread, I'm just going to mention again a movie I watched and mentioned before called Where the Crawdads Sing.

Its' on C4 catch up and Netflix amongst others. A summary would be:

Set in the North Carolina marshlands, the mystery drama follows Kya, an abandoned girl who raises herself in isolation. When her former lover, Chase Andrews, is found dead, Kya is put on trial for murder,

A really great watch imho.

Agree with you on this movie @Keeps as have just watched it again and thought it was a brilliant movie and the lead actor, Diasy Edgar-Jones was superb. So good on so many aspects, and the ending was a stunner!!

Citizen Vigilante 2026 makes Death Wish look like Mary Poppins.

Gang War Bandidos

Explores Denmark's notorious Bandidos motorcycle club through unprecedented access to their heavily guarded clubhouse during a legal battle threatening their existence, revealing their violent power struggle with the Hells Angels.

I decided to watch the movie, "The Power of the Dog" again last night, and as is often the case, I spotted a few things in it which I had missed previously, so I enjoyed it.

As a matter of interest, a friend of mine here who is a bit of a movie buff, really couldn't come to terms with the movie and thought it was rubbish, not understanding what it was all about, despite my efforts at trying to clear up his mystery.

As the saying goes: – "I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you".

I saw a free movie on Tubi last night that was halfway decent. I think you can also watch it free on YouTube.

It's from 2011 and it's called "Take Me Home." It's a romance-comedy about an executive woman in NYC who suspects her husband is cheating on her. In a state of frenzy, she runs outside, hops in a cab and tells the driver to "drive." Long story short, she ends up taking the cab all the way to California. I won't spoil the plot, but if anyone is bored, it's a movie worth watching. I'd give it a 7/10.

Surprise!

More Larry David coming our way.

What have we done to deserve such a blessing?

Thanks for the heads-up @Will27 . I don't usually watch documentaries, but Gang War Bandidos looks like it might be worth a look.

I haven't seen this one, but the majority of Harlan Coben's stuff that has been made for TV has been bog ordinary.

I find Harlan Coben's stuff hit or miss (with approx. 80%, especially the Spanish stuff being a miss) & I'm not a fan of Sam Worthington but I did really enjoy most of this.

Worth watching IMHO...

Kings of Coke: New Blood

A shadow figure known only as "Beef" seizes control of the port and climbs to the top of the drug trade, pitting the Hells Angels against the Italian mafia.

With bystanders caught in the crossfire and the body count rising, investigators trace the money back to Beef-just as his empire begins to crack and a new power.

I have to confess I haven't finished the 1st Season (found it to be very slow) but the 2nd season of The Agency has dropped...

A covert CIA agent is ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to his Station; when the love he left behind reappears, romance reignites.

Thanks for the heads-up @SamSpade . I enjoyed season 1 of The Agency. Season 2 complete season pack is available on 1337x, TheRARBG & TorrentGalaxyClone.

I've just finished watching season 1 of Cooper & Fry and enjoyed it. It was recommended by a mate of mine. The complete season 1 pack is on TheRARBG. Worth a look IMHO.

I am 4 episodes into Season 2 - excellent. One of the better series I’ve seen in quite some time. Jeffrey Wright, Michael Fassbender, Richard Gere - what a cast.

Some more new Seasons that have dropped...

Grantchester Season 11 - New one to me, watched 1st episode of Season 1 & it's watchable but a bit slow, figure it will get better as the characters build out so will stick with it...

A Cambridgeshire clergyman finds himself investigating a series of mysterious wrongdoings in his small village of Grantchester.

Harry Wild Season 5 - Another new one to me, watched 1st 2 episodes of Season 1 & found it very watchable... Who wouldn't if it's got Jane Seymour in it :)

A recently retired English professor discovers a real knack for investigation and cannot help but interfere with the cases assigned to her police detective son.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14527610/

House of Dragon Season 3 - I was busy working overseas so lost touch with Game of Thrones after season 2 and before you I knew it, it was on Season 8 and I've never managed to go back or watch this spin-off

An internal succession war within House Targaryen at the height of its power, 172 years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen.

I have a stack of Channel 4 documentaries to watch - I think they are all really well produced. I watched this one the other day, Hatton Garden : The Great Diamond Heist

They have become well played out now, but there were a couple of new episodes of 24 Hours in police custody last month, (cold case killer?) and another next week - Its annoying they are all numbered as specials as opposed to seasons, easy to miss.

New Aussie show just started.

In 1987, Det. Georgia Cooke investigates scientists' brutal murders with one survivor. Her probe into occult elements risks everything.

37 years later, new killings force her to revisit the Parrish Station horror.

I'm not familiar with the guy (British & probably too young) but this documentary might be of interest to some on here...

Harlan Ellison...

Author Harlan Ellison was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Serita (Rosenthal) and Louis Laverne Ellison. He had an older sister, Beverly. Harlan was married five times. He lived in Sherman Oaks at "Ellison Wonderland". He had the same address and phone number for decades, was a teetotaler, and never used drugs.

A talented piano tuner who suffers from hyperacusis discovers an unexpected aptitude for cracking safes, turning his life upside down.

For some reason I had an urge to watch the Star Wars movie which featured the pod race in it, "The Phantom Menace", and managed to find it and download it, and what surprised me was how great the special effects were, especially when showing the "Gungan" parade at the end – – IMO, just brilliant and never really thought about it before.

It also starred Natalie Portman, whom I think is gorgeous, so that was a bonus!

Having said that I must get onto another one of her movies, "V for Vendetta" shortly.

My apologies if it has already been mentioned, but last night I watched Season 1 Episode 1 of Cape Fear on Apple TV. I think that series might be worth watching.

House of the Dragon Season 3 - excellent start! thumbsup
