This happens sometimes.

Not usually but sometimes.

A show in this case a documentary that you really want to watch but can't find access to it.

It was released this January.

Oh well.

I got you .. if you really want to see it.

ETS: I see you have already seen it, no worries.

Euphoria, season 3

The first 2 seasons were pretty much like a bad-vibes version of the American Pie movies: teenage angst, sex drugs and varsity sports. In one episode they put on a play (at the fictional high school) that is a parody of the series itself -- I was impressed.

Season 3 is a completely different setting with the same characters, more like a Breaking Bad wannabe, the world of American low-life, deals with three different criminal organizations. It gets ugly. But you get to see the pretty boy get his face continually bashed; rumor going around the guy who plays him (Elordi) might be the next James Bond.

They ended the series with this season, but didn't announce it until after it aired.

Do you need the background of the two previous seasons for it to make sense?

As a big fan of Asimov's Foundation series, I found the first two season difficult to get through at times, likely due to the difference in the way it was presented compared to the books that I have read multiple times. Season 3 came into it's own however and was very entertaining. If you're a SF fan it's probably worth it to watch. I suspect there will be many more seasons as they're inserting stuff from some of the later books like "Robots and Empires"

I never see ads on DailyMotion.

I have no clue why that might be.

But, you can always download from DailyMotion using various apps, I guess.

You DO know that I am a LINUX POWER USER, I suppose...???

By the way: Are you into HOOP DRESSES and HOOP SKIRTS of that period?

I streamed it. I didn't even think to try to download it. Oh well.

Not into any kind of dresses on myself or anyone else.

I was looking at Nachez after reading this article:

www.familydestinationsguide.com/gorgeous-town-mississippi-retirement/

This Gorgeous Town In Mississippi Is So Cheap, You Can Retire On Just Social Security

After looking into it, I can't see Natchez as a place I could ever picture living in, but I did discover this small town with an incredibly rich, interesting, and complicated history. Then I saw about this recently made documentary, and I just had to see it.

If you watch it, what the real life characters reveal about themselves and their town is well worth your time.

If you need any pointers, which I actually doubt, about how to watch "clean" versions of vid you might like to watch.....

Then hit me up, and I just might be able to share with you a few things you might not know.

However, I really cannot believe that you don't already know most of what I know.

AND: I am just happy I was able to find the vid that you had been looking for, which provided you with a bit of pleasure.

The Natchez Doc is OK.

But, I am not really INTO that kind of close society, one based on what it is based upon.

I have up all of that when I moved to Asia, and left the MainLine......

Glad you enjoyed the Doc, though....

Take care....!!!

I just spent about 30 minutes trying to find the best FREE viewing of Gone With The Wind available on the internet.

This is easier said than done.

Gone With The Wind seems to be one of the most protected films, and free viewing is not easy.

Of course, this is an amazing film.

Yet, the book was better.

Or, it was better when one was extremely young.

Here is the link to Gone With The Wind, about 4 hours, almost: https://vk.com/video-210149339_456239546

My choice would be to find a torrent of the film in even higher resolution.

Yet, if you click on the link, I think this streamed version is still watchable.

The work that went into the production of this film must have been truly monumental.

First watch this, and then....

Watch Hong Lou Meng, maybe

I guess not. The main characters are six girls, their combined history is what the first 2 seasons are about. Of the 3 villains in season 3 two appear for the first time. If you just want a cold-blooded crime movie may as well just stick with the other stuff involving Russian thugs, Black pimps, redneck fentanyl dealers, human trafficking etc. The actor who played one of my fave characters died, so he's not in three.

But if you skip the first two seasons you won't be able to hear Sydney Sweeney complain how she's always sitting in a puddle. wub

One of the guys is brutalized pretty graphically, and you may feel sorry for the character, but if you saw what he did in the first two seasons you may not feel so kindly.

The thriller The Housemaid is my recommendation

Trailer reminds me of "Hand that rocks the cradle" 😀

Natchez is better than OK.

On Rotten Tomatoes, it has a 97% approval rating based on reviews from 34 critics.

I enjoyed Natchez so much that I sought out the director's earlier documentary called Wrestle.

It's about an ambitious wrestling team in one the worst high schools in Alabama focusing on the characters of the athletes and their families all facing poverty and emotional challenges, etc. The ending is poignant.

It's not quite as brilliant as Natchez but also set in the deep south, you can see how the director developed over time.

Found if on justwatch.com.

This looks very promising !

I watched a movie about football called "The Damned United", based on a true story and actually about the bitter rivallry between Don Revie and Brian Clough, the incident which fuelled it and the outcome. A very good watch IMO and Brian Clough was played to perfection by Michael Sheen (who looked as though he has played a bit himself).

Sorry if this have been asked before, the thread is too long to read it all. I love the old, silly British sketch comedies, David Allen, Monty Python, Kenny Everett, The Two Ronnies, Alas Smith and Jones etc. I haven't seen much TV the last 20 years, are there any shows from the last 20 years that you can recommend in the same style?

I think you will struggle to find sketch comedies made within the last 20 years with such subtle and gentle humour. Times change and along with it people's perception of what is funny.

Programs like The Fast Show, That Mitchell and Webb Look, The Armstrong and Miller show, Harry and Paul, maybe Catherine Tate are along those lines but probably a bit 'harsher' for want of a better description. Little Britain aswell but that has been heavily sanitised (does a very funny parody of a bloke with a Thai bride").

Off at a bit of a tangent but one I particularly liked and isn't mainstream is Limmys Show. Scottish comedian with very dark humour.

I'm sure others will be along with their own suggestions but that's a bit of a start. I've been on a visit to the UK and have been watching Steptoe and Son in the evenings. It actually comes with a warning on screen that the humour reflects the time and attitudes of when it was made.

I'll have a further think and report back if anything else springs to mind.

You might try Kids in the Hall from Canada.

I think times change, formats that worked in the past just aren't popular, idk why? Even comedians, change - In my youth Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer were cutting edge, Bob now hosts a fishing show with Paul Whitehouse where they talk about their health issues and diet. My parents thought it was great. I couldn't believe how crap it was.

Not quite sketch shows, but, The Outlaws had it moments, and I thought King Gary was pretty funny, it had that old school story format.

@recom273 @gargamon @Keeps Thanks for your replies and suggestions; I will see if I can find them somewhere on the internet.

Hostiles : Set in 1892, it follows an embittered U.S. Army officer escorting a dying Cheyenne war chief and his family across dangerous territory. The film is noted for its stark realism, moral ambiguity, and exploration of reconciliation and frontier violence.

I enjoyed this one, a rather different western than the norm, good action sequences. IMDB: 7.4 and I can see why.

Is this the one where the young Indian girl stole a knife near the beginning and killed her father/stepfather when he tried to rape her? Can't recall the name of the movie but sounds similar. Was quite good.

Tom Hardy Out of ‘Mobland’ Season 3 After Season 2 Wraps Production

Tom Hardy.jpg

Variety has confirmed with sources that Hardy will not appear in a third season of the Paramount+ crime drama. Production has already wrapped on Season 2, which finished filming in March. Sources say that Hardy was not asked to return to the series following onset issues with executive producer Jez Butterworth, 101 Studios, and others.

I found this series the other night. Not bad, so far, altough I've only watched the first four episodes of Season 1.
