Trump to "run" Venezuela and take the oil for US interests?

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

Trump has publicly stated that the US will "run" Venezuela and that US corporations will take Venezuela's oil resources and "start making money."

This should be comedy gold, but for all of the Make America Great Again and America First crowd out there, riddle me this: What is the difference between the United State's invading and "running" Venezuela, China invading and "running" Tibet, and Russia invading and "running" Ukraine?

According to Hegseth, "President Trump has shown American leadership, and he’ll be able to dictate where we go next."

So, US Dictator, Donald Trump, will dictate which sovereign countries are next to be invaded by the US?

Guesses anyone. And supply a rationalization for your choice.

I've seen estimates that it will need at least 50,000 troops to secure Venezuela. I suspect that is probably on the low side, especially if the US Air Force follows their usual pattern of bombing the living daylights out anyone they suspect of not being friendly, and thus gives Venezuela and surrounding Latin American countries the hump! Geography, and the lack of any nearby allies, means that they will also have to keep a couple of carriers swanning around, tempting targets for a bright spark who wants to make a name for himself!

Here is the muppet Hegseth stating that the US will take back the oil that was taken from them. It was never your oil, you dumb s**t. This is just robbery on a state level.

The US has become a criminal empire, just like Russia. Well done, MAGA fanclub. This must be everything you dreamt of.thumbsup

How will the US 'run' Venezuela?

"We're going to be running it with a group, and we're going to make sure it's run properly," Trump said.

When pressed by reporters as to who inside Venezuela would form part of that group, Trump said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio had been talking to Delcy Rodríguez, the country's vice-president.

Will the Venezuela government listen to Trump?

Trump said Rodríguez - who has since been named interim president by Venezuela's Supreme Court - had expressed her willingness to do "whatever the US asks".

However, speaking on state TV after Trump's remarks, Rodríguez called Maduro the "only one president in Venezuela", adding that the government was ready to defend itself.

Trump rules out Machado as leader of Venezuela

Trump also said he had not spoken to Venezuela's opposition leader, María Corina Machado, who was barred from the 2024 presidential election but was instrumental in galvanising support for a rival candidate to Maduro believed to have won the poll.

The US president said Machado "doesn't have the support within or the respect within the country" needed to run Venezuela.

The level of involvement which could, quite rapidly develop, and the calls which could eapidly mount upon American military resources, could put the brakes upon any further adventures.

What is more, Congress returns next week, with no significant breaks for several months, and I suspect that they will be very vocal on the matter, and demand that their right to be consulted is upheld. Mr Squeaker Johnson is going to be scurrying around the corridors like a particularly stressed hamster on a treadmill, pausing only to lie until blue in the face!

He can’t be critical of Trump, the UK is a de facto vassal state.

One step out of line and Trump will demand more revisions to the UK tax and trade policy Washington already dictated.

Sadly true.

He might as well bite the bullet, Trump is inevitably going to do so anyway.

Edit, posted in the wrong thread, sorry

Could it be he actually misspoke, and he wanted to say, the oil we took from them will be returned?

He is not fit to be President and even run that country, never mind the USA.

He can't run his way out of a paper bag.

Look what he did to the U.S. health care system.

He doesn't even have a concept of a plan to replace what he destroyed.

Venezuelans -- be afraid. Be very afraid.

Still even how much I despise the man and his government, it can't be worse than it is, but I'm not convinced yet.

He already started the Machado doesn't have the respect, so we will wait and see which death army he approve cleaning up the mess that will come and the resistants by cartels and other fractions who is going to be supported by many other players.

I'm thankful for what he have done for Europe, a good old cold shower to wake us the F up, so

Especially the Nordics have for sure taken the matter seriously in a good way

so Trump intend to install a puppet regime that above all see to it that an american company gets access to the Venezuelan oil reserve.

ive read an awful lot of history in my life and this reads as a history book of things i thought was a thing of the past

One of the goals is to bring "big US oil" back into the game. Bringing the Venezuelan oil industry "back up to par". Pumping more oil into well saturated world oil market.

Once the price drops to 40$, "big US oil" as well as the Saudis will stop loving Donald.

Trump to "run" Venezuela and take steal the oil for US interests?

That's more factual.

Actually I agree with you on this rare occasion…….im thinking this has been in the works since helinsky.pure conjecture on my part but……now he’s making threats against African nations that have valuable resources……perhaps old Donnie is trying to build a legacy before he kicks the bucket…..that’s also a possibility….one things for sure it’s one big mess he’s made for some one else to fix……funney how he’s ditched the woman who actually won the Venezuelan election and the Nobel as well…..surprised anyone?Tired of winning yet?

While the majority of Venezuelian people would be happy to get rid of the current regime, I doubt that they would approve USA controlling its resources, including the current opposition.

So Cuba is next? Marko says it's run by senile, old men!😂
