Who is ICE?

Featured Replies

This might be a step in the right direction, other methods have not proven to be effective, and perhaps ICE simply needs to be scared into submission, rather than continuing their reign of terror and continuing in their role as domestic terrorists.

This debate is beginning to remind me of the vax vs anti-vax debate.

After 5 years of debating, it's still not clear if the covid vaccines were harmful or helpful.

Same with ICE. Are they going after dangerous illegals or are they gestapo?

Does anyone have a first hand account of someone back home that was harassed by ICE even though they are a law-abiding citizen?

On their official website, they claim to be "dismantling transnational criminal networks". Yet most of you bashing ICE here still believe they're turning the US into a gestapo and going after anyone randomly?

https://www.ice.gov/mission

As one of the country's premier federal law enforcement agencies, ICE is dedicated to detecting and dismantling transnational criminal networks that target the American people and threaten our industries, organizations and financial systems. Combating cross-border criminal activity is the largest single area of responsibility of HSI, and is a critical component of the overall safety, security, and well-being of our nation.

A whistleblower within ICE has released the personal details of around 4500 ICE Agents to the “ICE List” website, this adds to earlier data releases of around 2000.

Because ICE / Trump are targeting criminal organizations.

So these criminal organizations are paying people a lot of money to be professional agitators and impede ICE.

"The anti-ICE mobs are anything but organic. Dark money is bankrolling far-left groups like ICE Watch and lighting the fuse. Americans deserve to know who’s cutting the checks!"

Pretty sure the vast majority of people targeted by ICE are done so for valid reasons. Sure as with any system there will be mistakes but its a tiny percent of the overall numbers.

You need to be a goon to go after dangerous criminals.

48,377 out of 65,735—or 73.6% held in ICE detention have no criminal conviction according to data current as of November 30, 2025. Many of those convicted committed only minor offenses, including traffic violations.

When the Supreme Court recently allowed immigration agents in the Los Angeles area to take race into consideration during sweeps, Justice Brett Kavanaugh said that citizens shouldn’t be concerned.

“If the officers learn that the individual they stopped is a U.S. citizen or otherwise lawfully in the United States,” Kavanaugh wrote, “they promptly let the individual go.”

But that is far from the reality many citizens have experienced. Americans have been dragged, tackled, beaten, tased and shot by immigration agents. They’ve had their necks kneeled on. They’ve been held outside in the rain while in their underwear. At least three citizens were pregnant when agents detained them. One of those women had already had the door of her home blown off while Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem watched.

“ICE List” is hosted in the Netherlands outside of U.S. jurisdiction.

Not a whistleblower. A criminal who when found is going to be in serious trouble. He violated the personal privacy of 4500 people.

Who cares? Wholesale governance and enforcement serves no one. Each person and household group must be assessed rationally, individually and with compassion for circumstance. For example, how long have they been living in the US, do they own property or a business, any serious arrests, etc.

"Legal" is just a framework for serving the people. Its excesses should not be tolerated.

Ah, DOGE didn't do that. Homeland Security isn't doing that as we speak. There are not different rules for different people.

Would some gun-nut in the US target the terrorist who shot Renée Goode three times in the head? Karma.

He hacked into personnel files and accessed social security information, home addresses etc. That's a violation of personal privacy. The people identified are not necessarily deployed as enforcement agents. Some are public relations, others are paramedics that accompany operations etc. It isn't about treason, but of violating personal privacy.

You are all over the place fitting a justification for what is fundamentally an invasion of privacy. DOGE did not release the public addresses of the general public. And Homeland Security has to obtain court authorization to access the personal information of US citizens.
