Thai passport expired while in US - how return to Thailand?

You've obviously never emailed an embassy/ consulate

This - firstly getting any response at all requires someone diligent enough on the 'other end' to bother to reply....

I've e-mailed Embassies in the past, not had responses.

I've called in the past and been held up in tangled and circular automated systems only to finally get through to a 'human' and told to e-mail.

The best proof for this type of question is in the pudding - First hand experience of those who 'can' answer the Ops question directly is going to 'trump and embassy staffers response IMO' - its exactly what this forum was initially set up for...

Sometimes I just find these, lost, expired passport topics a bit hard to believe....a simple email to the relevant embassy answers all questions. Maybe being 71, I just look a t simple, logical, solu

My two adult children returned to Thailand with expired passports and valid ID card. Were just told to get new passports at the immigration desk. No problem at all.

Nothing to do with aircraft boarding requirements... it's to do with arrival immigration requirements.

It's to do with both you 🤡 - she won't even get near BKK arrival immigration if the airline decides she doesn't neet their requirements to board.

First question in the OP.

Will she have a problem flying back to Thailand?

Who do you think might make that problem if not the airline?

I was going to say maybe you have never travelled hence your lack of knowledge, but your next post indicates you own a passport so maybe your just clueless?

We're off topic, but I wholly agree again although I should state:

Emailing ACS in Bangkok (US) gets a general response

Like the above, it's possible that when the nationals of each respective consulate / embassy receive email in their native languages they tend to respond (better)

Over the years I've sent numerous emails to consulates usually entirely ignored.

I'm pleased to hear this issue has been solved easily and quickly. Now she just need to get on the plane and hope it all works out.

Pretty careless allowing a ppt to expire.

Go back and read the OP, she has a valid US passport, she boards with her US passport and enters Thailand with her expired Thai passport and Thai ID.

As for me travelling, it's irrelevant...how do you think I cane to Thailand, many times, from Australia...do you think I swam, or hitched a ride on the back of a crocodile.

Yes, now why couldn't you have said that instead of wittering on with the useless advice about emailing an embassym and then defending it when it was pointed out that it would be a waste of time. Truly taking dumbfuggery to a new level.

I'm just surprised you made it past the end of your street. Did you ask an embassy how to do it?

Do you ever read you own comments, then ask yourself...would any reasonably sane, intelligent person make such rediculous comments...

Oh, you crawled out from under your rock again.

For anyone that's forgotten the earlier posts, over a week ago this clown gave some hilariously bad advice on the thread. Since it was pointed out he's wasted more time defending his comment, even after other posters pointed out it was nonsense.

Isn't it time to put on your big boy pants and maybe even apologise to the OP for posting such tripe?
