Because complicated businesses are a choice—and a bad one.

Here’s a plain-English, step-by-step explanation of how protests are typically coordinated in Minneapolis/Minnesota today, using real local patterns — descriptive, not instructional.

1️⃣ Core organizers (the “hub”)

Most protests start with one or several established local groups, such as:

Reclaim the Block

MIRAC / immigrant-rights coalitions

These groups already have:

Email lists

Social media followings

Trusted volunteers

Experience with permits, media, and turnout

There is no single city-wide commander. Think network, not hierarchy.

2️⃣ Coalition building (shared ownership)

Interesting to see how quickly the left tries to deflect the issue, and come up with variations of "b-b-but Trump!" and now "b-b-but January 6!". As most normal conservatives do, I think the riots on January 6th were stupid, unnecessary, and embarrassing. And I am glad those who committed crimes were arrested and incarcerated.

Now, back to the present... I wonder how many of the protesters are genuine, and how many are either "rent-a-protester" or "I protest anything" types.

There was a group of religious leaders protesting at the airport in MSP yesterday. They did it the right way- they performed acts of civil disobedience, took the arrests, and so on. Nothing like the mewling children infesting the streets of Minneapolis, venting their spleen on men performing legal functions.
