A Thai resident, Sureesri "Ant" Ruengsuksood, encountered a naked foreign man on a Pattaya beach, urging him to wear shorts to comply with local customs. Despite her request, the man continued his behavior, prompting Ant to share the incident on social media, quickly gaining viral attention.

Ant reported that she was fishing near Soi Phra Tamnak 4 when she noticed the man undressing as if to swim. Alarmed by the public nudity, she advised him to dress appropriately, but he merely acknowledged her with a thumbs up and walked away. Consequently, she filmed him and posted the video online to highlight the issue.

The video has since been covered by various news outlets. Ant emphasized the importance of raising awareness about respecting community standards and encouraged locals to voice concerns when faced with similar situations. She noted that fishermen in the area have seen the same man engaging in such behavior repeatedly.

This incident follows recent reports of inappropriate public conduct in Pattaya. Earlier in the month, a Norwegian man was seen walking naked on Pattaya Beach under the influence of alcohol and cannabis. Additionally, a British national and a Thai woman were caught engaging in a sexual act on the beach, attributing their actions to intoxication.

Thai law considers public indecency a violation under Section 388 of the Criminal Code, punishable by a fine of up to 5,000 baht. Authorities continue to urge visitors to respect local laws and customs to maintain public decorum, reported The Thaiger.

Key Takeaways

  • A naked foreign man on Pattaya beach prompted widespread social media attention.

  • Recent incidents highlight ongoing issues with public indecency in Pattaya.

  • Thai law imposes fines for public exposure or indecent acts.

Seems Thais love taking videos of naked foreigners. Why intercede? Let them get arrested and mind your own business.

What's this "we" business. You're at the back of the bus along with all of the foreign freaks. Stay in your seat and enjoy the ride.

Those in charge want more people to fill up empty condos they've built.

The least these Europeans could do is keep their nut huggers on, which is bad enough.

Yeah, ok! I guess that´s a valid reason ;-)

The "we" were for the ones of us living in Thailand, and treat the population and other descent foreigners with respect.

I agree he should wear trunks, but Thais are pretty vicious sometimes, posting this on social media for what? Would they post it if it were a Thai?

Pattays new motto should be

Back to nature on our beaches...If you care to bear it all.

The same question could be levelled at you, why not let the netizens carry on doing what they want to do while you mind your own business?

My guess is that most Thai people have nothing better to do... They never get tired from work, only outraged on social media.

And the fine for filming and posting pornography?

Are you implying that the Thai people lack a strong work ethic? That perspective is not just misguided; it echoes the rhetoric of white supremacy.

And yet you call yourself "Supreme Acy"

"Ant" got it all wrong, but decided to cash in on views and likes.

The guy had just be robbed, and they stole everything from him. At least, that would be my story. 🙂

Is it likely to be?

I recall only a few such incidents where Thais were involved, a nutty woman on Suk causing traffic collisions some years back!
