According to the Trump administration, the US citizenry have never had it so good as they do under the rule of Donald J. Trump.

Personally, I don't believe that. The economy sucks, we're about to be dragged into wars in the Middle East, the government continues to deficit spend like a drunken sailor, tariffs raise the price of goods for American consumers, and although we are repeatedly told that inflation is the lowest it ever has been - those in the Trump administration making those assertion obviously don't do their own grocery shopping. ICE raids across the nation are a fiasco with masked agents black-bagging people off the street, and shooting some. Gen-Z live in their parent's houses because they can neither afford rent no less buying a home. The America Dream has vanished.

So - can the Republican and the Trump administration continue to "blow smoke" up the US public's nether-regions with all of its "Good News," or will the American public revolt at the ballot box.
And if the polls show a Republican loss of the House and Senate - will there even be a mid-term election?

If a week is a long time in politics, November is aeons away.

"It's the economy stupid"......if things go well, inflation remains low etc, everything kicking off now will be long forgotten and the Republicans could easily turn things around.

Personally I believe that the Republican Party is going to lose both the House and Senate if the Trump Administration continues on its current path of foreign conflicts, out-of-control deficit spending, tariffs, the Epstein cover-up, masked government agents black-bagging non-citizens and citizens alike, and an economy that average Americans simply can not afford. Successive administrations have ham-strung the American Dream as they assisted in the wealth transfer of America from its citizens to the billionaire class - Trump has simply driven as stake though the heart of The American Dream making sure it was well and truly dead. I fully expect that the Democrats will take both the House and Senate - and then nothing will really change, well, other than Congress coming to a standstill as the Democrat majority focuses on only one priority goal - Impeaching Trump.

May I suggest you edit the topic title, as there is no doubt about, and GOP is well aware of it.

Is that you, Mike Hunt? 😆

The poll is ridiculous to ask "if" there are elections, so I won't answer it based on that. Elections are not an if, they are guaranteed by law.

Of course the GOP is going to take a drubbing in the mid terms, they are full of themselves and need to be brought into line with reality.

I think that is an accurate suggestion, but I'll leave it as is - framed as a interrogative question as opposed to a declarative statement.

Until the rule of law is jettisoned in favor of rule by diktat. Study history - it does happen. The United States in not immune.

Trump is laying the foundation now to create chaos via wars/invasions of venezeula, cuba, iran and then when americans protest he will send in his gestapo goons to stir up violence...then declare it an insurrection and attempt to cancel the elections....the last thing he wants is an election where the dems take over house and senate and file yet another impeachment against him. It remains to be seen if police and military will follow illegal orders against US citizens and become part of the gestapo team.

Trump has not followed the law for decades and he could not care less about violating it especially if it keeps him and his boot licking brigade in power and out of jail.

The problem is that Trump and his ridiculous Administration is in a constant state of denial, and the people are really starting to see through that, including a lot of his supporters and a lot of Republican members of the House and Senate. Distancing themselves from the dunce at this point is the smartest thing they can do, and the greatest chance they have of getting reelected.

But more than likely Democrats will flip the House, and hopefully the Senate too. That would make Trump doubly impotent. And I'm not just talking about the House and Senate. America needs this change Trump is bringing the country down, destroying the economy, destroying any influence or prestige the US once had, and leaving untold amounts of destruction in his enormous and bloated wake.

GOP will increase their majority. Should be a choice for that.

I just cant believe Americans want a return to DEI over merit, a return to banning human biology, huge dudes battering fair ladies in boxing, more fraud and corruption, more fake news, more riots burning & looting.

Sorry i think GOP will smash these elections(that fake news consumers told us would be cancelled)

History shows that in 18 out of the past 20 midterm elections, the party of the POTUS has lost seats the House.

The exceptions are:

1998: Democrats under President Clinton gained seats (though didn’t win a majority).

2002: Republicans under President George W. Bush gained seats in the House

This one should have an asterisk due to 911.
